    • Gorgeous and Large - love it!
I bought two of these in different colors so hubby and I would each have our own special glass. We LOVE them. They are beautiful and hold large amounts of liquids. So necessary for me. I was not fond of the hard plastic lid that sinks into the mouth of the glass, so I bought a silicon lid and silicon sleeve to put on the glass. I was not fond of the leather sleeve. The silicon sleeve is easier to grip, and I can wash the glass with the silicon sleeve on unlike the leather sleeve. Our ceramic glasses are perfect now! FYI, if you use the hard plastic lid it comes with this hold 18 oz. If you buy a silicon lid you can get in another 2 oz. ... show more

The mug itself is great . . . BUT . . . the lid is absolute garbage. Pieces start breaking off within weeks. You'll end up with bits of plastic in your mouth and coffee stains on the front of your shirt.

    • Cup Great. Sleeve not so good.

This cup is beautiful. It is dishwasher and microwave safe. It’s a nice big size at 21oz. The top cover fits well. It is comfortable to drink from. I do have a problem with the sleeve that comes with it. It is made from some sort of leather that slips around on the cup. It also doesn’t insulate enough when I first pour my coffee in. I am just barely able to handle it for a short period of time, like from the kitchen to the end table in the living room. Then I have to quickly put it down because it is just too hot to hold. After the drink cools a bit, it is fine with the sleeve on. But I’m always afraid the cup will slip out of it. It seems too loose. The sleeve also can’t really be cleaned as it’s absorbent. I can wipe it, but it still shows coffee stains since day one. They just need to change the sleeve to a thick silicone rubber one and it will work fine.     • Deceptively complex story LOL
Gets hot, lost the cozee early on. Then lid got hit with scented oil in the sink and all I could taste is lemongrass. Turning into a vase.

    • CAUTION: Glaze Likely Has Lead In It

There are so may Made in China ceramics and mugs that use a glaze that has lead in it. The country is notorious for having almost zero oversight on the use of toxic chemicals (read up on the melamine infant formula issue of some years ago.) You will unfortunately find out about the toxic glaze when you microwave the item. The lead glaze gets VERY hot, usually hotter than the liquid inside the mug. Lead being a metal should not be put in a microwave. The result is the metal contents gets exceptionally hot. This was my disappointing experience with this Bosmarlin mug. It was really unfortunate as the mug was otherwise perfect. It looked great. It had the right size and dimensions. But I've sadly owned (and no longer use) a few other Made in China mugs that have the same lead glaze issue. It's both a safety issue, as the mug gets so hot that it will burn your skin when you pick it up, and also a health issue. Lead is a big no-no for our bodies and brain. I'd like to see Amazon get serious about testing some of these dangerous products. It does not reflect well on them caring for their customers. ... show more

This is a really nice travel mug. It has a decent weight to it, as a good piece of pottery should. The insulating band around it has a little stretch, so it is easy to put on and take off. It fits well in cup holders, even in small vehicles. I recommend a cupholder for the home and office as well, because it is shaped to be narrower on the bottom than on the top, so with some jostling, it might tip over without one. And it's finish is nice and looks like it was hand painted and glazed. ... show more
