  • 10 years of fear of Accounting/Bookkeeping are finally over
In college, I really hated Accounting because our "professor" artificially increased importance and difficulty. I kind of understand her. It's sad when you have to teach glorified arithmetics when someone in the next room is teaching applied mathematics for oil industry. The words "credit", "debit" with combinations of "ledger", and "account payable" made her feel so important and fearsome while making us feel miserable. The reason was she, our "professor", assumed that we somehow must memorize words "debit" and "credit" and from now on use them instead of "plus" and "minus". She could just demonstrate us associations with real life words and our torture wouldn't have even started. You got the idea. This book demystifies all that nonsense. It gives clear definitions and real life associations for all important words and phrases in accounting. The books gradually gives the reasons why this or that term was invented and how we ended up building on abstraction on top of another. This makes bookkeeping/accounting very comprehensible. Huge thanks and respect to the authors for that! Now I can sleep in piece. ... show more

  • Excellent and easy to follow and understand.
Excellent, well written and easy to follow bookkeeping book. I needed to review my bookkeeping skills to keep track of my expenses for a new business venture. This book brought back everything that I had learned in my college accounting classes.

  • Good but not what I expected
Since it said it was 5 books in one, I expected it to be more like a dumbed down textbook. It's an overview of various aspects of bookkeeping and accounting. I have learned some things from it.

  • Worth the time and money!
Great book for beginners or as a refresher! MBA grad with little accounting coursework. This came in handy upon switching from IT Director to Accounting/Finance/HR this year! Understanding debits and credits simplifies the understanding of the details behind bookkeeping, various journals, and resulting balance sheets, income statement, and cash flow. Many great chapters rounding out most aspects of accounting for business activities. Money and time well spent! ... show more

  • So glad I did
I am taking a bookkeeping course and hope to get my certification March or April of 2018. I have another book that I am reading but there are some chapters that are vague. I looked at the reviews for Bookkeeping All-In-Once For Dummies and decided to buy it. So glad I did. Once I am done with the course I will use this book to clarify areas that I need. There is so much too offer too. ... show more
