They are hanging in the patio on a rod and have endured several rain storms so far. The water seems to just slide right off and they are dry pretty quickly after the storm. I like everything about these curtains except the fact they are faded already!!! Purchased in December (I live in Texas), not a lot of sun and the teal color is already faded! So disappointed and there is no information to contact the seller. I know they eventuallly would fade, but they aren't six months old. ... show more

They definitely keep the heat off the back patio. They are definitely not see-through and blackout amazing. They work great, other than the fact that they have already faded. I bought these in March. I ordered just one of these to check it out. The color is silver, which comes out a pretty grayish tone with a subtle sheen with silver grommets. I liked it and then ordered more for my front deck porch to block out the harsh light. They are waterproof and each curtain weighs 1.6 lbs per my scale. They feel more weighty and the fabric is nice.
