I apologize for the foot photos in advance 😅 I applied some Jergens SOL self tanner on my legs to test this out. It says to wait three days after applying before you use it. However, I noticed a big splotch on my heel the day after applying the tanner. So I applied some of the remover to the spot and waited 5+ minutes before scrubbing it off. I didn’t notice any difference afterwards. I tried again on day 3 and it did work to get most of the spot off. I was a little bummed it didn’t work sooner because it could be great to correct oops spots when you first applied. No complaints about the gel itself, it does on and comes off easily with minimal smell. ... show more

It’s definitely better than scrubbing my skin off, or waiting and watching as the self tanner dissolves in a weird, blotchy mess. On some of the darker spots I had to do three cycles of application and I left it on for about 15 minutes each time, but it finally did get the tan off. Thank goodness. Don’t expect an automatic miracle dissolving situation. You may have to do a few different cycles. Overall, I would say it’s best for removing the weird remnants of a self tan that refuses to fade.     • Great for Orange Palms
For some reason, I can never self-tan and my palms not be orange-free. The self-tanner bleeds through my tanning mitt every time. I finally started using gloves under my mitt, which helps somewhat with the palms but my wrists are overdone. I was very excited to try this product and was pleased. Worked well after a couple of days on my wrists and the bottom of my hands. I can usually get the palms quicker since I constantly wash my hands. This seems to work best after a few days and gets any leftover splotches. Once all is removed, I'm ready to tan again. I recommend and will continue to use this product. ... show more

This is a great way to remove a self tan that maybe didn’t come out as you hoped or turned out patchy, I find it removes best after a few days of wearing the self tanner. It’s also great for if you get any self tanner on your hands after applying this will get rid of it. Definitely worth having if you use self tanner because removing it can be a struggle but this makes it so much easier ... show more

The instructions sat to wait three days after applying tanner to for best results but I has success removing tanner after 2 days. But I only had a couple layers. I suspect if you've been layering tanner for a while it'll be harder to remove. You probably just have to do several applications. I'm not really sure this removes tanner any better than exfoliating though I suppose it is easier than exfoliating. ... show more

    • good alternative to an exfoliant
I'd rather use an exfoliant...but if exfoliants are too abrasive for you, then this would be a good alternative.
