  • Filling and delicious
Flavor Name: Coconut
The perfect mid-morning (or breakfast) snack and the convent flavor is perfectly balanced with the oats

  • Go-to for BRAT diet
Flavor Name: Banana Chocolate Chip
When you need something healthy and substantial, but have a really sensitive stomach, Bobo's banana chip oat bars for the bill. They're dense, but very mild in flavor and not too sweet - they sit very well in the stomach. Highly recommend keeping them around for all you tummy problem girlies out there! ... show more

  • Delicious bars but buy local not on Amazon
Flavor Name: Cinnamon Raisin
I'm one of the few who likes the oatmeal raisin flavor but I think they're great! I like most of the other flavors too. For me the are a meal replacement - I eat one as breakfast and it gets me to lunch even when I'm working out. Easy to devour but not so small that you feel cheated. For me it's all about finding good tasting gluten free products and thank goodness I've got these because it simplifies one of my daily meals at least. All of the flavors I've tried seem decent, but I can rank them. Winning flavor: gingerbread, which is seasonal only but I hope they keep it around forever!! I've really liked: maple pecan, oatmeal raisin, almond butter. Ok flavors: apple pie, cranberry orange, lemon poppy, chocolate chip, original, peanut butter chocolate chip, pumpkin spice. I tried the Stuff'd versions (nut butter stuffed) but found them to be dry as the desert. Definitely recommend sticking with the bars which are only a little dry (plan to have a glass of water available). Most flavors do flake a little so be careful of crumbs. I'll note that Amazon doesn't seem to store these very well... They are consistently much harder and more like bricks than the ones I can purchase at my local store. Local store version is much softer and nicer texture. Amazon is clearly screwing these up, which sucks because there are more coupons that drop the price on Amazon versus my local supermarket. Amazon, why you gotta play us like that? Btw I'm not the first reviewer to say this, maybe Bobo and/or Amazon should start listening! ... show more

  • My newest favorite go-to snack bar
Flavor Name: Chocolate Chip
I had been hooked on Clif Bars for years (cool chocolate mint, if you must know). But the prices on those have gotten to the point where I can’t see the value any longer, especially for a 2.4 ounce bar. Add in that these bars never really looked or tasted all that great and my eyes began to wander. I stumbled on Bobo’s Bars at a Sierra Trading Post. I bought a twelve pack and never looked back. These bars are bigger—3 ounces. They’re denser and heartier and, to me, more satisfying. Still loaded with sugar and probably better thought of as a meal replacement or a candy bar, but I like the texture and flavors. They’re also gluten free and vegan if that’s important to you. The key is finding them for $2 a bar or less. I wouldn’t pay full price. Ultimately, these are a solid breakfast go-to, or a lunch on the run. If you’re tired of pressed-fruit Larabars and cardboard Clif Bars, give Bobo’s a try. They’re altogether different, more like a thicker squishier granola bar. Or more like a British flapjack, if you know what those are. See what you think! ... show more

  • Fresher than in the stores
Flavor Name: Lemon Poppyseed
Good lemon flavor. Fresher than the batches at local market. When I run out of them from here, I’ve tried purchasing these from my local market and they are always stale.

  • 1 out of 8 did not like these
Flavor Name: Chocolate Chip
I've purchased 4 boxes of Bobo's Oat Bars in the Chocolate variety from Amazon in the past month. An acquaintance had told me how delicious they were, so I took a chance and purchased my first box before I embarked on a trip, planning to take some along for the journey. Unfortunately for my wallet, every person but one to whom I gave a bar loved these, so I sent some a box to enjoy. Prior to my first purchase, I did not realize these are soft, sort of brownie like in texture, a little sweet in a molasses sort of way (no molasses in the recipe, though), crumbly, and with two servings in a single bar. Fortunately, I placed a bar in a small resealable plastic bag for the airplane trip, so I was able to break off a little piece any time I felt hungry. That bag was a saving grace because when a bar was gone, I replaced it with another and you won't believe how often I pulled out that little bag. I ordered the first box as a gift after I put a little bite into my father's mouth while he was busy enjoying himself at a slot machine and I realized that he needed to keep these on hand for him and Mom to have on the days they go out. For those who have few teeth, these are edible because of the soft texture, yet they provide an enjoyable flavor. Hiker's took these along for a day trip, not worrying about the double serving per package, happily eating the entire bar. As they put it, they felt like they had a brownie along for the trek, much more enjoyable than other bars they'd taken in the past. One sister has enjoyed these on days when she's been unable to break for lunch at work, having them with coffee or tea and some deep breaths. Without eggs, butter or flour, they are terrific, even though Earth Balance has never been my favorite flavor. I'll admit that I was expecting a firmer bar with visible chocolate chips, but after the surprise of a crumbly moist baked good with a not very sweet cocoa flavor, I was hooked. I will gladly try the other varieties when I can find them for a lower cost than over two dollars per bar. A retail value of about thirty dollars is too high for a dozen bars, so I've deducted a star from this review. The one friend who did not love her Bobo's Oat Bar thought it tasted like cardboard and she claimed to have forced it down at work. She loves the SOYJOY bars which I do not care for, so I guess the world is balanced. ... show more
