I ordered this wanting to make my boat seat more portable. I wanter to remove my seat when storing the boat for the winter, and sometimes bring it with me when accompanying my in-law in his boat (my seat is better!). The seat plate and bracket seem strongly built, well-coated with durable paint, and all hardware included. I found it does what I want, but the install, adjustment and removal is not as easy as I had hoped. The seat release is cumbersome, and not easy to “pop” and line up the slide plate to remove it. A lot of dickering with it. And the adjustable mounting bracket takes more thought and dickering as you have to be careful the adjusting bolts don’t get out of reach. Plus, on some boat benches, the bracket can slip if you don’t install screw-in hold-down clips, further reducing portability. All in all, it does what I had hoped for, but not as easily as I had hoped for.

At this great price I thought this thing might be flimsy, but it is heavy and solid beyond my expectations. Time will tell of course, but it seems quite solid.

Haven’t used yet but when you click the seat base in it moves all around, I have a feeling out in the water if it moves around while boating or fishing it will be at the bottom of the lake or river

The perfect no drill option for my Jon boat. I purchased a Jon boat and didn’t want to drill anything into it. Found these for my son and I and we love them. Easy to take off and put on. Most of these other brands you need a tool to tighten and loosen but this you can use your fingers with ease. Enough width to adjust to any small boat. Highly recommend !!
