These seat mounts are sturdy and give an extra measure of safety when attaching a seat to a boat. The swivel action makes it easy to turn and access different parts of the boat without unbolting the seat. They fit standard 3/4‑inch posts and seem to have a durable coating to prevent corrosion. Installing them was straightforward with the hardware provided. Keeping them clean and dry will help prevent rust, especially in saltwater environments.

These pedestal seat bases are designed to the right specifications/tolerances. They fit my pedestal base extension and were not loose at all. They are standard mild steel with a galvanized coating which appears to be more robust/durable than others I've used before. It's near impossible to find a stainless steel version of the seat pedestal, so these are about the best corrosion protection you are able to buy. Eventually in my saltwater environment these will still begin to rust, so to minimize rust staining on the boat you are going to want to remove the seats you install these pedestal bases on. Overall, I'm pleased with these pedestals and think they are fairly priced. I would buy again without reservations.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: These are very nice heavy duty boat seat bases. We are in the process of redoing our 14" Jon boat, so we got these to add seats to it. These will make a great addition to the overhaul of the boat. They appear to be of very good quality and value for the money. We haven't got the seats installed on the boat yet, but installation will be very easy to do. They are the perfect fit for what we needed

These EWEGERT seat bases were easy to set up and feel really sturdy. They fit my 3/4" pedestal post perfectly and the swivel action is smooth with no wobble. The zinc plating looks like it’ll hold up well against the elements. Great option if you need reliable replacements or an upgrade for your boat seats.

I got these for a more comfortable ride on my boat - with the hope that it would give some shock absorption - it does - but would be really nice if the spring was stiffer....I'm 6'2" - 250# and it bottoms out on hard bumps - but overall - works well - I put one on each of the front seats. Quality is good, and they are an easy swap with the old ones. Good seat bases - would recommend!
