I bought Blowfish Malibu shoes on someone's recommendation as I was searching for a pair of sneakers I could dance in. Most tennis shoes have catchy outsoles, even those that had the pivoting pattern at the bottom. As a beginner, I had a hard time pivoting in sneakers. These shoes got some fibrous coating and they do glide better than most without being slippery to walk. I picked this model as I have sensitive feet and the regular converse thickness was a bit too thin for me. This pair came with a hidden heel about 1" high on the insoles. That was a surprise. My first impression, I thought the insoles were a bit hard and didn't fit my feet contours. I tried doing some footwork and really liked the way they glide on the hardwood floor. As I walked and danced, my feet warmed up to the insoles. I initially wanted to return these shoes but there was obvious wear on the heels of the rubber outsoles from the little footwork practice I did so I can't bring myself to return it. I'm not heartbroken about it. They were only $23 and they're cute. I did dance for a couple of hours in them after I decided to keep them. Not a bad dance shoes, honestly, although a bit heavy. If anything, they could serve as everyday shoes. Not the comfiest shoes but they are pretty comfy for this style of shoes. I have bunions and skinny feet. I usually wear 6 - 6.5 on sneakers and size 6.5 on these fit well on me. Not too snug, not too big when wearing sports socks with a thicker bottom. ... show more

Purchase: Blowfish Melondrop wedge tennis shoe -white, size 7 1/2 PROS: Pretty bright white, not faded or yellowed. Cute multicolored fabric patch on heel (a Melondrop style characteristic) Also the loose laces is a casual look. You could tighten them and tie them to make up for size being wide. PRO/CON- quirk of the Blowfish “Melondrop” style these tend to run half size big length and width. So be forewarned with socks seem to be ok without may be a little loose. Good for wide feet CONS: I only posted pics of what I’m talking about the cons, and this is my reason for 4 stars rating … there are 2 little blue pen marks on both sides at the base of the laces! (On top of toe box). The shoe box arrives totally mangled so if you save your shoes in their boxes don’t count on this one. I thoroughly examined every inch of the shoe! That’s the only flaw- it worries me because I wonder why would you mark the shoe ? Are these knockoffs and you are marking for sizing purposes? Everything on the shoe is in the right place right labels. Even the patch of fabric is the same as my other 4 Melondrop styles. Definitely keeping them I guess I’ll try to get the pen marks out. My shoes arrived today and I was very pleased. I had ordered this first pair with some trepidation because I have wide feet and narrow heels. Other Blowfish sneakers had fit me well and I loved them. But this style with the elastic cross-over on the top, concerned me some. Also, the mixed reviews about size, and width problems, etc. left me unsure what to expect. What a great surprise. Right out of the box, they slipped on easily. I didn't even have to use a shoehorn. I wear a size 9 normally and ordered the size 9. It fit perfectly. I noticed the shoes were "hair" tight across the widest part of my foot, but they weren't in the least uncomfortable. I was also pleased that the heel wasn't sloppy, as is commonly the case. I haven't done a lot of walking in them for long distances or periods of time. If my opinion of thinking they are really cute, true to size, comfortable shoes changes, I will write an updated review. Color: Natural Splatter Camo Size: 7.5
I chose the browns similar to camo and they are cute, stylish, fit true to size and look like the photos. Having fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis and degenerative discs, I can tell you these aren't for walking far in, they don't have a lot of support. I snagged them for the low price and for 2 outfits that require neutral khaki colors footwear to match. They are basic, I wouldn't say they're amazing or awful, just a nice casual shoe to wear occasionally. They do have fabric on the outsole, so they could easily slip. My only real complaint is that the insole came right out with my foot the second time I wore them. I have to replace it each time I take them off. Other than that, the price was worth it. If you're young and/or healthy, these will likely be great for you, if that price point remains the same. - 1 star for the unattached insole and - 1 star for lack of support/ slippery outsole ... show more
