This mixing cup is very nice, despite being made in communist China. It is stainless steel inside and out, it has a very nice copper colored finish (which doesn't appear to be a paint, but part of the metal itself), with a plastic top/lid that is clear/see through (not glass). The lid, and all it's parts, including the carry strap are well made using better quality plastic, and I don't fear them breaking. The carry strap is actually hinged! The mixer ball seems kind of small (it reminds me of some Christmas tree ornaments I have- without the hooks), but still does a good job of mixing my protein powder. It does as good, or a better job of mixing than a spoon. It does seem to make my protein shakes, which are made of milk, frothy, much more than I get with a spoon, so that shows it is acting more like a mixer, injecting air into the contents through the shaking motion. I bought this particular shaker bottle, because it is insulated. So let me hit on that. It is a double walled stainless container with what I perceive as air in between. The top lid, which is made of plastic, has no insulation properties. I tested out the containers insulation quality, by putting cold water out of the refrigerator in it, and allowing it to sit out at room temperature (about 74 degrees F.). *The water was 43 degrees F. to begin the test (while my refrigerator is <36F, the water itself hadn't been in the refer long enough to get down to that temp). * In 4 hours time, the temperature of the water had increased only 7 degrees F., while sitting out at the room temperature of 74F. *After setting out for 17 hours, the water temperature had increased to 60 degrees, an increase of 17 degrees. * I then placed the container with the same water in the refrigerator for 4 hours, to monitor how much it cooled down, and found that after 4 hours in the refrigerator, the inside water temperature dropped from 60 to 56 degrees. So overall it kept the contents reasonably cold, but I don't see it keeping contents fully COLD for a full 24 hours. If it were outside on a hot day, I think the refrigerator test could be a good guide, with a temperature change of only 4 degrees in 4 hours. However, since I didn't test in in direct sunlight, I don't know what difference would have been in that circumstance. I don't know if it would be safe setting in direct sunlight based on my next paragraph. The manufacturer emphasizes that it IS NOT FOR HOT LIQUIDS. That puzzled me when I ordered it. If it doesn't have any glued parts why not?? After receiving and inspecting it, I found exactly that---no glued parts. What I did find however, was a stainless plug on the bottom. So, thinking about the plug, I am theorizing that there isn't room for expansion in between the stainless walls, which would occur if there was a hot liquid in the cup, hence the reason for them saying "no hot liquids". I am also theorizing that the plug on the bottom was put there after they injected some gas into it OR possibly it is a safety plug with is made to pop out, due to the pressure of expansion, in the event that someone does put something hot in it, to prevent the container from bursting. Those are only my guesses, not based on things I factually know. In anycase, no hot liquids! The container has measurement lines, that are on both the inside and outside. On the OUTSIDE, there are measurement marks that are engraved into the metal, and shows ml and oz. . Quite oddly, the measurements shown don't show cups (or the equivalent in oz, such as 8 or 16 oz.). Instead it shows 6oz (175ml), 12oz. (350ml), and 18oz. (530ml). On the INSIDE there are 4 raised lines in the metal that don't specifically say the contents to that point, so you can match them with what is says in the outside engravings. While on the outside, there are only 3 "marks", on the inside there are 4, with the 4th mark/line being 24 oz (I measured it using water). The container itself is 26oz, so therefore, the area from the top line to the top of the container would make up the additional 2 oz. . So if you want to be able to shake it, there has to be room for some air, so even though it is a 26oz container, I would say the maximum amount you can put in it and still be able to shake it would be 24oz. . The container is very "deep" and it is hard if not impossible to reach to the bottom for cleaning (hand wash only, plastic lid is top shelf dishwasher safe), so having some sort of extender tool for cleaning glasses would make it easier. I like this mixing bottle/container and while it could be even better (like if it were made to Thermos brand insulating properties), I think it is ABOVE AVERAGE IN QUALITY. I would definitely recommend it. This blender bottle/container is Made in communist China for a US based company, who also designs it. I was going to give this 4 stars, due to the lack of it being a "perfect" insulator container, and the fact it's made in communist China (be sure you thoroughly wash it before using, because products from China almost always have lead and mercury residue on them!!), but the quality is just too good for that, so 5 stars! ANOTHER THING: The copper color of this does have a slight pink appearance, as do other “copper” colored metals. It’s not too bad though. ... show more

I hate cups BUT this one I love! I had one in black but it broke (only bc it was so old) so I purchased the white. I use it everyday at school and it keeps my ice from melting and the hole is big enough for pieces of ice to fit through so that I can chew them :) Fits in my side pocket of booksack.

The old plastic ones were DISGUSTING and held on to odors and discolored no matter how many times I washed or soaked them. This one doesn’t have any of those issues AND keeps it cooler for longer. Only downfall is the cup itself isn’t dishwasher safe.

I love the blender bottles…..but please make the lids out of steel too! It will be more durable and won’t absorb smells, but maybe that’s why you did it. I’ve ruined a couple of these due to the lids not letting go of their stench.

I decided to purchase a used like new shaker. I felt like I wanted to recycle and give it a chance. Indeed, the shaker bottle was like new. Only had a small ding on the bottom of the cup. Not a big deal since I will use it vigorously. Has large capacity to hold large volume of liquid plus my protein powder. The shaker mixes very well after a few shakes. The easiest container to clean. I do make sure to rinse it right after with clean water. There isn't any crevices to keep any old protein powder or crud. So far I love this purchase. Definitely recommend it. ... show more

My son has been using this same brand shaker for a while but it’s in plastic. For a few bucks more you get it in durable steel. It’s very easy to use, easy to clean, haven’t experienced any leakages. Highly recommend it.
