This canvas is fine for a beginner. There is a mix of really big spaces and small spaces, but nothing microscopic. The canvas, brushes, and paint are of standard quality for paint by number kits like this. I've done a ton of these kits and they are all about the same. It is possible to get a nice painting using the provided brushes. You may need to trim some stray hairs from the brushes, but this is normal for the blue handled brushes. If you plan on doing a lot of these, you might consider a few of your own brushes and there are beginner brushes that are really economically priced. The paints are standard quality also. They aren't too thick and they aren't too thin. Several colors will need a few coats, and this is completely normal. The orange and two lighter colors definitely needed at least two coats. I used an acrylic paint pen to go over the numbers to help them disappear when using these colors. The reference sheet is a little blurry but it's still big enough to be helpful if you lose your place or make a mistake. The color reference is too small, faded and blurry to be of any use, so I only use this to identify which kits I've finished in a scrapbook. The canvas comes folded so you might need to gently iron the back. I typically don't iron out the wrinkles and by the time I'm done painting, the canvas has flattened. I don't deduct stars for this unless the canvas is cracked at the fold lines. For those who are trying to avoid AI art, I do think that this picture is AI generated. ... show more

This paint by number on canvas with acrylic paint is definitely for adults. It is very detailed and has very small spaces. It does come with paintbrushes that will work fine, but I recommend getting some better quality very fine detailing paintbrushes separately. I’m new to acrylics on canvas, so I haven’t quite got the blending down yet. But I’ll learn as I go along. It’s still just as relaxing and enjoyable. This kit comes with everything you need. It has 3 different sized brushes and all of the paint containers are numbered on the lid to make it easy to track. The canvas is creased due to being folded instead of rolled. It ironed out easy enough on low heat. The guide is easy to read but having a magnifying glass on hand would be helpful as there are smaller sections. It's challenging but not overtly challenging. Perfect to pass the time! ... show more

I’m not sure if it was an error but the colors don’t always match. For example 18 & 19 are the same exact color when they should be green and black, and the purple isn’t the same as in the picture. So like the leaves / flowers in the bottom right section don’t match the photo. However the other flowers where the colors match are perfect. ... show more

No doubt if your grand is steady enough you can make a beautiful painting. But wow is this thing tiny. Not the picture itself, that’s very large, but the areas for color are tiny to the point reading the numbered areas are nearly impossible. It comes with paints, brushes and a hanging hook for your painting. The paints are a good quality. The brushes are just an okay quality but that’s fine for a beginner kit. I might have bit off more than i can chew with this paint by numbers lol. It will take a while to finish as theres so many numbers and small areas to paint but it definitely helps relieve stress and anxiety for me. One thing to remember about this product is you should buy a wooden frame or something to stretch it out while you are painting. Otherwise, it is just a wrinkled mess. Regret purchasing three of them.
