I recently had the chance to try out the Hisiu Permanent Adhesive Decal Vinyl in the Blue 40FT roll, courtesy of the Amazon Vine program. My experience with this product shares some similarities with a previous vinyl roll I've used. First and foremost, let's talk about performance. Just like the previous vinyl, this one proves to be easy to work with. It's compatible with my Cricut ad my Vevor sign maker, and the cutting and weeding process went smoothly. The adhesive properties are reliable, ensuring that my decals adhere well to various surfaces, including cups. The end results are clean and professional-looking, which is exactly what I aim for in my crafting projects. Now, onto the value aspect. I must say that the 40-foot length of this roll does come up a bit short compared to similar products in the market. The fact that it's priced similarly to other brands offering 50-foot rolls does make the value proposition less appealing, also there are fewer colors to choose form compared to some other options out there. However, there's a unique feature that sets this product apart - the full size grid pattern on the back of the vinyl. This grid comes in handy for precise measurements and marking out cuts. It helps reduce material wastage and ensures that I can make the most out of every inch of vinyl. This feature adds a level of convenience that might make up for the slightly shorter roll length, is a step up from some pother brands which either have no grid, or only partial grids on their products. This is a lot of vinyl! I use black for a lot of things so I like to buy it in bigger packages. I only did a quick test cut but it cut well on regular vinyl setting on my Cricut machine. It was also very easy to weed which is always a concern. I like the shininess of the black. It does not include directions which I prefer to have in writing in the box so I don’t have to go look up the listing- it would be helpful if it was marked somewhere on the box with what it is- permanent vinyl, waterproof…most people who use vinyl have tons of rolls of different material so it can be hard to keep them all clear what they are.

I have dealt with my fair share of off-brand vinyl and so far I haven’t found any that even comes close to the Cricut brand vinyl, so to say I was skeptical of this vinyl is an understatement. This roll comes with 50 feet of adhesive vinyl, which is impressive for this price point, and I love how easy it is to work with! The Cricut blade sliced right through, weeding was a breeze, and adhering it to my project took less than a minute. The adhesive itself seems to bond nicely to the plastic that I adhered it to and so far I haven’t had any issues with peeling. I also appreciate the grid pattern on the back, which always helps with waste, and is perfect for precision cutting. The only issue I could find came when I was trying to smooth everything out. When I ran my scraper over the vinyl to smooth out any creases the vinyl itself seems to show every little scratch and imperfection, which is sad. Luckily, the project I used it for is for my eyes only and the imperfections do not bother me so much, but if I were to use this for letters or designs are bigger then this would definitely be a concern. Granted, this is my first time working with vinyl of this sheen, so that could’ve also been user error. Overall, this vinyl worked a lot better than I had originally anticipated and I could see me purchasing more colors in the future.

I purchased this vinyl in three colors--grey, black and this BRIGHT orange. This vinyl comes nicely packed in a box and has kept its round shape. Many times when I've ordered roll-vinyl, thy come flattened out and the roll feeds poorly. These fed well and cut nicely on the machine. I like the grid on the back as a guide for even cutting. This vinyl is being used in various environments, including outside. Thinking they will last reasonably long outside, with the main issue being sunlight breaking down the vinyl, as it would any vinyl product. For indoors, the permanent claim is probably reasonable. Did I say BRIGHT?
