Description

This kit includes a 70 mil wall thickness 4-gallon bucket with a black snap-on lid. The bucket is tapered slightly as is typical of buckets. The opening across the top runs about 9 to 9.25". The height of the bucket without the lid is about 13.25". The outside dimension of the base is about 8.4" by 8.4". A great storage solution. Buckets are food-grade plastic. Shipping included in price! The base of the bucket fits within the depression of the lid allowing these buckets to be stacked ...within reason. The lid is equipped with a tear strip. When the lid is first installed (with the tear strip intact) it will typically require the use of a rubber mallet. The first time the lid is removed it is necessary to remove the tear strip by pulling on the tab. The tear strip serves both as a lock for the lid and as a tamper evident device. Once the tear strip is removed, the lid can usually be installed and removed by hand without the use of tools. Some folks may find it easier to use a bucket lid wrench (sometimes called a lid lifter) to facilitate the removal of snap-on bucket lids. Such lid wrenches in plastic variants are inexpensive and can be purchased separately if needed. Our square snap-on lids tend to be easy to snap-on and remove for repeated use. -- Shipping included in price! What quick service! Folks, don't believe the estimated arrival time. They are much faster than it states. Mine said 7 days for earliest time and it was here in 4. High quality buckets with lids and no tax or shipping. Can't beat that guys and gals. I'm using mine for a hydro system. Poly farm is?a top quality manufacture of all things containers up to 3000 gallons. They aren't mess'n around when it comes to containers barrels drums and even water filters. These bucket are thick and well built. The square shape adds to the rigidness of them. The lids snap on tight. The handles are plastic but seems to be okay for this size bucket. The 4 gallon is a convenient size, not to big or to small.

I was a bit worried that this would come scratched up. It came in it's own little box in PERFECT condition. On top of that, it came super quick. I don't want to raise the bar in terms of shipping speed, but it came a lot faster than I expected being shipped directly from the company (not through amazon prime). I'm using it for an aquarium project where a standard 5 gallon bucket wouldn't fit. And it will be in plain sight so I didn't want an ugly bucket. The bucket and lid are both HDPE. It's pricey for a bucket, especially if you get only one, but like I said I needed it for it's perfect size. ... show more

Excellent and two of them hold the entire contents of a 20 pound bag of dry cat food. Food safe, air and moisture tight seal. Handle for hefting these big boys. Unfortunately not 5 stars cuz that great seal is a bear to remove and replace and I used to sell Tupperware, so I know what I'm talking about! I think next time I will call my Tupperware dealer. Except for one very very very important point: I won't have to hold a party to order these, won't have to wait for deliver for 2-3 weeks, and they are much more reasonably priced. so one second thought, yeah, I'd buy again...smile ... show more

Terribly disappointed in these buckets. Purchased to build an RDWC system. Over half the buckets SPLIT while inserting pipe thru uniseals. The walls are super thin, not at all what I expected for $9.50 per bucket. Went to local lowes, got MUCH better 5gal square buckets for about $5 each. Wasted $100 on these to learn they were cheap, and thin. ... show more

The bucket itself is fine; however the lids I received have one of two problems; 1) either the lid fits, but is extremely difficult to take off the container, or 2) the lid will not snap down at all. Also, the plastic on the side of some of the lids I received have holes in them, which makes me think that using too much force when trying to reopen the container will compromise the lid and could potentially be a hazard if it scratches you. ... show more
