I walked all over with it on and it never got in the way. I got a size bigger than I would normally get and I'm glad I did. The material is in between thick and thin - thick enough that it's not see through but thin enough to be breathable on a warm day. The seams are strong and the pockets put this dress over the top for me. If you are on the fence about this dress - just buy it! Seriously.
