I wish I would have taken a before 🤷♀️ (I will next time). I know it says to “spot clean”, but I’ve always washed ALL my shoes/slippers in the washer (if they fall apart, I just don’t buy them again~ so user beware 😏). I put the main slipper parts (felt/rubbery bottom part) in my large lingerie bag and the insoles (the fleece/cork-rubbery sole) in my small lingerie bag (both zip completely and kind of lock- although my insoles were out of the bag at the end- no damage though)- washed on delicate/light load, cold. They look brand new! (I’m really hard on shoes and I don’t wear socks with these typically because they are so warm 😊♥️). No damage to the slippers- but it does recommend to spot clean- NOT IN THE WASHER! Like I said, I always do on delicate and in cold water- AT MY OWN RISK. Just putting this out there for anyone else contemplating washing. I bought my lingerie bags on Amazon awhile ago- but I use them for a LOT of things. After I’ve worn headbands and/ or my ponytail holders a few times, I have a smallish lingerie bag in my bathroom and throw them in it- once I see my ponytail holders and/or headbands- cloth- are getting low, I throw them in the wash to get any oils from my hair off- good as new! Just an FYI for anyone that tends to throw the hair ties out after a few uses or never thought of washing them… I was tired of buying them all the time, not expensive, but it adds up… As far as the slippers go, I washed mine like I said above- it’s a buyer-beware kind of thing though, because it does say NOT to put them in the wash. Mine look brand new! I wouldn’t wash them without lingerie bags though as it keeps everything together and not jumbling around the washer, banging against the sides without a little protection. I AM IN LOVE WITH THESE HOUSE SLIPPERS😊♥️😊 I’m probably going to order one, maybe two, more pairs because I know in a couple of years when I’ll need a new pair they won’t be available ♥️

I've worn Birkenstocks for quite a while and love them. The shoes I got had the regular foot bed, not the shearling as the listing had advertised and the pictures show. I like the shearling as it keeps my feet warm and toasty. I decided to try thick socks with this pair and that is working quite well. I wanted customers to be aware of that discrepancy and I think the seller should list these properly. I wouldn't have bought them without the shearling. Other than that issue, they are great and I love wearing them.

My feet are the happiest they've ever been at home with these amazing Birkenstock women's slippers!! I have plantar fasciitis and achilles tendonitis and was advised I could no longer walk barefoot, even at home. Boo hoo!! So imagine my utter delight when first stepping in to these very comfortable "furry" slippers! It's like walking on a cloud with arch support. I should probably get 5 more pairs in different colors but I'll stick with the one pair I have for now. If you need good arch support, these Birkenstock women's slippers are for you. There are also many colors from which to choose.

I’ve been looking for slippers with good arch support and non slip soles and these are exactly right. I was a little concerned that the clog style might not provide enough stability but these don’t slip off at all, especially going up and down stairs. Comfortable right out of the box. I’m very satisfied with this purchase.

These slippers fit and feel exactly like every other 'real' Birkenstock since 1774. The Italian made wool may feel a bit scratchy or tight on the first wear however, it adjusts and conforms to the foot quickly. Wearing a thin sock can help cut that adjustment period. Being wool, it's water-repellant/water-proof (which also applies to coffee/tea for the half-awake in the kitchen type people who tend to spill their morning cup). The inner sole lining is REAL fur (from New Zealand) , not synthetic. It feels wonderful and nicely fills in any gaps not supported by the Birkie footbed - assuming that the wearer puts it on properly. It is not overly warm ( a plus for those with sweaty feet) yet does a great job at keeping cold feet comfortable. The latex sole is very supportive and flexible. It does not slip on smooth floors and is Lego-proof. The cork footbed provides solid support, not the pillow-like squish that goes flat in a couple of days. Yes, they can be worn outside (but shopping or long walks should be done in street shoes, not slippers). Another big plus is that they are not overly large, cushy, or otherwise oddly shaped so as to look like marshmallows on the feet, don't make walking difficult, don't prevent 'tucking a leg', don't get stuck under cabinets/furniture. Well cared for, like all other Birkie's, there's no reason to think these slippers will not last for many years. Pros: Everything above. Con: Red was Out of Stock in my size.

I always wore soft-soled boiled wool slippers but developed arthritis in my feet which meant I needed more support. Since I work from home, I wear slippers A LOT so it's important to me that they meet my needs. I've tried other supportive slippers but they're so heavy and clunky that it just feels like wearing shoes. I've also gotten ones out of manmade fabrics that my feet sweat in (sorry for putting that picture in your head!). These ones are wool so they keep my feet at a comfortable temperature. They provide the support of Birkies with a much thinner and lighter sole. You could wear them outside but my guess is they wouldn't last long because of the thinner sole. These are really house slippers. If I had one suggestion, it would be to add a little more cushioning to the insole but really they're very comfortable and work well for me.
