This is my 2nd pair of Gizeh’s in several years, and they are as good as my first. I got the girl’s version EU size 36, for my US size 6~6.5 narrow/medium width feet, and they fit perfectly. The girl’s version appears to be the same quality as the adults, but quite a bit cheaper. There was no break in time, unlike my 1st pair (which hurt between the toes.) The “taupe” is slightly metallic and a bit lighter than the photo. A great neutral summer color. Shipping from Europe to the US was quick and came a few days earlier than expected.

I received my white Gizeh Sandals last week. Though I've placed many orders on-line throughout the years, this is my first review. That should indicate to you how much I love these sandals. I read others reviews before ordering, so I took their advice and ordered a half size smaller. The fit and comfort are perfection. I would like to add that I had heard,throughout the years, how comfortable Birkenstock were, but I didn't like the 'thick straps' look. At the age of 64, I still wanted a fashionable sandal! I have a bunion and a bunionette (less common, it's a bunion near the pinky toe). These sandals do not bother them at all. They look fantastic. Today I'm going to order the black Gizehs. I told my husband I am going to order them in every color available!! The shoe molds to the foot....or maybe it's the other way around....but they are perfect and I love them!!

Typically I’m not a fan of the Birkenstock look. Dealing with a bout of plantar fasciitis forced me to consider Birkenstock’s. I was pleasantly surprised to see the variety of styles-a huge improvement from the 1970’s look I disliked. I ordered this sandal and LOVE them. So comfortable! And what a relief for my pain. I say order Birkenstock’s you will not be disappointed!!

I was very excited when I found these sandals on amazon. I bought them to wear on vacation in Italy, and felt that they would go with anything and could bring less in the shoe department with me. I wore them at home for several weeks to break them in, and thought that they would be fine since I have owned Birkenstock sandals before, but after getting there, and all the walking that we were doing, no luck, I ended up buying another pair of sandals to wear. They were killing my feet. Seven months later, I took them back out again to see if I could break them in some more, before we go on a european cruise in May, and again, I am sorry to say that I am unable to wear them for any length of time. They are fine for wearing for a short run to the store, or if you are not going to be on your feet for extended amount of time, otherwise I cannot recommend them for comfort. They look so nice, and I am very disappointed that they are still so stiff to wear. At least they only cost me $19. dollars by using my Amazon CC points.

This is my fourth pair of Birkenstocks and first in this style. I love the way these look (and the white patent isn't as noticeably shiny as I had worried), but they will take much longer to break in than any other pair I've owned. The plastic toe bar can be quite uncomfortable. A friend who has the same pair assured me that she loved hers and that they were comfortable, and I've loved all my past pairs of Birkenstocks, so I'll keep them. Hopefully my toes grow accustomed before too long! As it is, I've mostly worn them around the house for short periods of time to try to break them in.

I called the Birkenstock store to find out why I couldn't find this Gizeh Sandal in NARROW during my google and on line searches. Over a year I've looked. The gentleman at the store looked it up and told me that they don't make it in narrow anymore. Finally had to give my my narrow white Gizeh sandals from 2006. They were just totally worn out. If you are from the Birkenstock family and you are reading this, PLEASE put Gizeh NARROW sandals back on the assembly line. The regular just doesn't fit as well. I LOVE Birkenstock and have worn them for over 20 years.

I've been wearing Birkenstock Gizeh for the past 8 years since I retired. No more bunion and sciatica pain. For me, I wear them rain or shine so the cork bed lasts about a year or so. I'm very pleased with Birkenstocks.

I have fallen arches and these provide good support, not great support. They are great because they are sturdy and give my feet support instead of cheap sandals which cause pronation problems. I own 3 pair of Birkenstocks and love them. The white is perfect for slightly dressy and casual outfits. I have narrow feet and they fit fine. I also have one foot a size smaller than the other, and these do not cause any problems.
