These are good. I like the soft footbed of the regular Birks, and the fuzzy lining of this one cradles my feet. Since it's a sandal and open, my feet don't overheat in spite of the furry lining. Feel really good.

Wide for me, should of gotten a narrow. 2nd hole from the last on straps and still loose. They are leather and I hate to go the last hole and have them stretch so soon. Since I haven’t had them for very long. So I’m wearing them loose.

I love the comfort and style of these sandals. The length is as expected but they run very wide. My foot is slightly wider than average-- I don't typically buy wide width, but find certain brands and styles are too narrow for my foot. Not with these! I bought the medium width and have them in the tightest spot, but I'm thinking as they wear they may loosen further. I'm thinking the Narrow width may have been a better choice. ... show more

These do not run big. They are traditional Birkenstock sizing. Because of the reviews, I bought a 39 (I wear a size 9) and they were too small. Do not size down on these babies. I love Birks and usually wear the Gizeh but thought the Madrids would be a cute change of pace. Unfortunately, they ripped the heck out of the tops of my feet while just trying to break them in walking around the house. They are cute but going back. ... show more
