This card deck has lots of bird illustrations in a classic style that make it a great gift for any bird lover. At first I was concerned that the illustrations might have made the cards too busy, but it wasn't a problem for us at all during gameplay. The cards are a typical size and are easy to handle. A couple things I noticed during 1-2 hours of continuous gameplay: Although my young eyes didn't have trouble reading anything, my in-laws (in their sixties) occasionally had a little trouble reading the numbers across the kitchen table (with medium lighting). I later compared them to a more standard deck of cards and saw that the numbers were in fact smaller than usual. Also I did notice that only after 1-2 hours of continuous gameplay the sides of the cards did start to show a LITTLE bit of wear and tear on the very edge of the cards (The green ink was coming off to reveal a little bit of white). It's not terribly noticable and doesn't interfere with gameplay at all, but I was surprised that they looked a somewhat worn after just a litle bit of playing. I don't own many card decks, but this could be only a consequence of the fact that the cards were all green (all the other card decks I have are printed with a white border-- maybe for this reason?)

We love playing card games, and this deck has been a great addition to our game nights. The automobile design is beautiful, and the illustrations make the cards feel more special than a basic deck. They are fun to look at while still being easy to use for regular card games. The quality is very good. The cards feel sturdy in hand and shuffle nicely. We have been using them for the past few months, including daily use with kids, and they have held up really well. Even with a cat around trying to be part of everything, the cards still look good and have not fallen apart. I also like that they work well for family play. They are nice enough for adults to enjoy, but still fun for kids because of the car artwork. The deck feels durable enough for repeated use, not like flimsy cards that bend or wear out quickly. The cards are printed on linen-finish cardstock and intended for standard card games as well as collecting or gifting. Review: These cards are really gorgeous. The artwork strongly reminds me of old Audubon-style bird prints, and there is a very nice variety of species throughout the deck. I also liked the little design touch where some cards incorporate birds into the suit markings while others use standard suit icons. The cardstock has a lovely linen finish and handles very nicely once broken in a bit. They shuffle easily, waterfall well, and strike a good balance between being too stiff and too floppy. They feel much nicer than an ordinary department-store deck of cards. The print quality is excellent, and overall the decks are thoughtfully designed rather than just slapping bird pictures onto standard cards. I do not usually think of ten dollars as a normal price for a single deck of playing cards, but if I were going to spend that much, these are absolutely worth it. Kind of a strange end product here. I really like the concept, but it's like they didn't bother actually finishing that concept. Personally, it makes no sense that they didn't integrate a cool car (or cars) into the design of the back - even if it needs to be the same image on every card, of course. Basically, the face cards have a nice, high quality car printed on them, with each suit following a theme, but then the numbered cards are a weird mix of car-related items and just the regular old suit. They also chose a linen cardstock as the base, which is cool, but not the right choice for fine-detail printing. And I'd say it's just a hair thinner than the typical playing card, so long term durability is a little questionable. They definitely aren't finished flawlessly, either, as the occasional card will have uneven borders due to being cut at a slight offset. Also, the box is not really the correct size for the cards. All that being said, they're still perfectly functional playing cards, and will obviously provide the same versatility in facilitating many different card games. They handle well during gameplay too. I still think it's an ok value - I just wish there was a little more effort put into them. Though, I also tend to notice those types of things much more than the average person.

I bought these cards as a gift for my husband since he loves bird watching and they were all over my Instagram feed for weeks. I was actually comparing spreadsheets of features for different decks before I just went with this one since the illustrations looked so much better than generic sets. Idk why I waited so long to get this as they are honestly so much nicer than the cheap ones we usually have lying around. I wish I bought this sooner. The linen finish makes them feel really high quality and they have that casino quality cardstock that doesn't just bend and stay ruined after 1 game. They shuffle really smoothly and that is great since my 6 month old Jack Russell terrier puppy keeps trying to jump on the table as we play. The whole vibe of this product is great and the green and gold box looks really expensive on our coffee table. It does the job without any fuss and the art is actually detailed enough that we spend half the time just looking at the different species. These are perfect for college students or first apartments where you want something that looks like you have your life together. They are great for small spaces since they just tuck away in a drawer but add a lot of personality to a game night. But really this is the kind of thing you want stocked up before a big storm since you need something to do when the power goes out. And it is just a solid 10 dollar purchase that feels like it should cost a lot more.

These are a fun deck, especially if you want something a little different from standard playing cards. The biggest highlight for me is definitely the design. The face cards with cars are really well done and make playing feel more unique. It’s a small change, but it actually makes game night a bit more interesting compared to a standard deck. Besides the face cards, some other cards feature unique design elements in place of the standard suits, and they all have this nice classy retro feel to them. From a quality standpoint, I’d say these are solid but not premium. They feel similar to a typical deck of cards. They shuffle well, hold up fine, and don’t feel cheap, but they’re not trying to be anything high-end either. One thing I noticed is that aside from the artwork, everything else about the deck is pretty traditional. If you’re expecting something totally different in terms of feel or materials, this isn’t that. It’s really the design that sets them apart. Value-wise, it comes down to whether you care about the theme. If you just want basic playing cards, there are cheaper options. But if you like the car artwork and want something a bit more unique, then it makes more sense. Overall, I think these are a good quality deck with a fun twist. The design is what makes them worth it
