I might be slightly losing my mind but I thought that, when I ordered them, it was a set - not just shams. When just the shams arrived I looked at the listing and was surprised to see that it clearly states "Shams Only." So maybe I was confused, or maybe it was changed, but either way I thought there would be more to the package. That said, these are very nice. They arrive in beautiful packaging which then sets the expectations high; cheaply produced things don't typically arrive in quality packaging. The quality of the shams met the high expectations. These are very soft yet durable. They fit our pillows perfectly and the color looks just like the photo. My wife and I use organic bedding only so it's always "exciting" to find new organic bedding. And, for the price, I like these even better. I'll likely have to get the other bedding offered by this producer to have a full set, and I'm ok with that. These are high quality shams. ... show more

    • You're paying extra for the certifications here
And no shade for that - they have value if they're important to you. I pay extra for certs in some areas as well. In this case, they have some value for me in terms of environmental impact, because cotton is FAR from a benign product environmentally speaking. GOTS means somebody else has had a look and at least said that these folks meet the standards they claim to meet, so that has value as well. I'm ABSOLUTELY willing to pay more for somebody who's not exploiting the labor force - and who allows the third party (GOTS again) to monitor those conditions. These are also very pretty, and VERY soft. I'll pay extra for that, too. I'm not so much impressed by the packaging because, well, that's resources - unless of course they're making use of scraps that would otherwise go to waste to make those little bags. I've got no real complaints about this. What I would like to see is a comparison between this and, say, bamboo, or tencel, in terms of price and impact. I don't claim to have any idea which would come out ahead, but it's data I'd like to have. ... show more

In a world where there is so much microfiber filling the bed and bath sections of stores, it's refreshing to be able to find something made of 100% organic cotton. Even better, this blanket is excellent quality. First of all, it comes beautifully packaged. If you wanted to give this as a gift, it would definitely be impressive. It comes in a box with branded tissue paper, and the blanket and sham are tied with a ribbon and packed in a cloth bag. The blanket and sham are soft, and I love the quilted texture. This organic cotton quilt set is extremely high quality, feels amazingly like silk, and is a rich blue color. I'm not usually a fan of the small diamond quilt pattern, but in this fabric, I've changed my mind. I love this bedding set! And let's talk about the presentation. Wow! You first open a sturdy side-flip box to find heavy tissue within with a "thank you" note. Under the tissue, the quilt set is enclosed in a matching organic cotton draw string bag. Open the bag and the quilt set is tied with a large ribbon. You just know that what you are getting is a wonderful luxurious product. This would make an impressive gift. I have not yet washed the quilt, but I can tell that it will not be a problem at all. Looks and feels great on the bed. This quilt set receives my highest recommendation. ... show more

Lovely mineral gray quilt/coverlet that is 100% cotton with a sateen finish. The quilt is two-sided, back and front are quilted identically but the pillow sham is only quilted on the front and the back is an envelope closure. The sham is wider than the normal standard size sham but it still fits and looks almost the same when placed on the bed. The quilt is very good quality material and construction and is similar to my Hudson Park minigid coverlets. The size of the quilt is perfect for laundering in household machines. We have 5 bedrooms at the alpine homestead vacation rental in the Adirondack Mountains it gets quite cold up here and one of the 5 bedroom has a 4 post queen bed and a second bed which is a twin ... we have been looking for something just like this BIOWEAVES 100% Organic Cotton Quilt Twin Size to make the room look complete for guests.
