Got it as a piece for a Halloween costume, great fabric and cut. Perfect size and length. The fabric is thick allowing for good quick adjustments. The hood form is perfect. So much fun running around as a fairy !

Full length, medium weight, tie at neckline, shiny almost crushed velvet feel

We would recommend these cloaks. We bought several of these to add to our costumes. They have a nice medium weight to them. They are not flimsy or to thick and heavy feeling. We wore them for an event and they still look brand new. They are not overwhelmingly hot for summer. The hood is a generous size so it went easily over each of our hairstyles even with flowers. They are shiny. We bought a green, red, white and blue one. The green one is a little less shiny. You can tell that they are not real velvet, but they still look very nice. looked great with medieval woman's costume. loved color and fit and just overall look. (I went with medium and am not quite 5 ft 5 inches with the boots I was wearing, and it just cleared the ground). It was a bit thinner than I expected. On the one hand, it could definitely be worn on warmer days and places (very breathable). Of course I was wearing it on a pretty cold Halloween, and we had to walk down the block for the party, so I was hoping for a little more insulation!
