    • Big hit with toddler boys
This was a Christmas gift for my grandson. He was thrilled to open this. Both of my grandson's love all things farm and livestock related, so when I saw this I knew it perfect for Christmas. The truck and trailer are good quality construction and hold up very well to active 4 and 5 year old boys. The person and animal figurines as well as all of the accessories really add to the adventure and the make believe story for them. Everything feels like it is well made and is good quality.     • Great new additional with functional doors!
My kids love the Big Country Toys line. When my son turned four, he received the big farm set from his grandparents and has been obsessed ever since. He’s seven now and still plays with these regularly, so I was genuinely excited to have the opportunity to try one of their newer sets. First and foremost, I love that the doors open on the truck. The original trucks didn’t have this feature, which certainly didn’t stop my son from playing with them, but being able to open the doors and have figures enter and exit the vehicle adds another layer to imaginative play. The doors feel sturdy, and I don’t have any concerns about them breaking off with normal (or even rough) play. I do have one complaint, and I may be in the minority here: I’m not a fan of the integrated lights and sounds. One of the biggest appeals of this line has always been its rugged, no-nonsense design. My son could drive these trucks through rain, muddy puddles, or even give them a “car wash” in the bath or shower without any concern. Once electronics are built in, that kind of unrestricted play is no longer an option. Personally, I prefer the Bruder-style approach, where lights and sounds are optional add-ons rather than permanently integrated into the truck. While I know many kids enjoy lights and sounds, my son values being able to play freely without worrying about damaging electronics. At this point, I let him play how he wants (minus the bath), with the understanding that the sound and light features may eventually stop working. That said, I would still recommend this set. The play value is strong, the figures and animals are fun and well-made, and it remains a solid addition to the Big Country Toys lineup. I just wasn’t thrilled with the shift toward integrated electronics and hope future releases consider offering a more rugged, electronics-free option again. ... show more

    • High quality engaging toy set
This awesome set was much larger than anticipated! It’s very well made and thought out with lots of extras in store. Everything snaps together easily and stays put. I love that the farmer can sit actually sit in the truck and his hand can hold the steering wheel or the tools. This is a great purchase for the money as you will get much play out of it. I wouldn’t give it to very young children because of smaller parts, like the tools and feed bag (it opens to reveal hay and then the hay breaks into 2 pieces.) The cow kicks, the truck engine rumbles and honks the horn! Kids will have tons of fun playing with this set, loading up the cows and transporting them. ... show more

    • Fun farm set
I ordered this as a gift for my 2 sons and was thoroughly surprised when it shipped and seen how big it was. The pickup truck and trailer are their favorites, the lights flash and it makes realistic engine and horn sounds when you press the button (runs on those little button batteries that were included, thankfully). He loves hooking up the trailer and loading the cows in there. The cattle figures actually have joints so they can “stand” or bend a bit, and the rancher guy is posable too, which is way better than those stiff ones in cheaper sets. The set comes with a bunch of extras like fences, a squeeze chute, hay bales, and feed troughs, so he sets up a whole little ranch on the living room floor. Everything feels pretty sturdy, it’s held up to being dragged around and crashed into stuff without breaking. They used quality plastic on this one. Only minor gripe is the trailer gate can be a little tricky for smaller hands to open and close at first, but he figured it out quick. Overall, super impressed with the details for the price. Big Country Toys nailed it if your kid is into farm stuff or trucks. Definitely recommend for anyone to buy, it’s cute and fun for kids. ... show more

    • Large and lots of fun
I got this as a gift for my two-year-old nephew and he loved it. All of the parts are huge, so there is little to no risk of him, hurting himself by swallowing them, and with his small clumsy hands, it is still easy to manipulate and play with the pieces. It is nice that all of the parts are vibrant and durable in Construction that being said the back doors to the horse trailer easily fall off so I would be careful with that. All of the parts are very detailed, which is awesome to see and I love that the truck makes noise and lights up as I know that kids love that too. I think that this is a valuable set for the cost, and I would recommend it to anyone interested. In fact, I will continue to buy toys from this company myself. ... show more

This set is so cute and well made. My toddler has enjoyed playing with this for many hours and it has stood up to rough play and drops. The pieces are a nice size and not tiny pieces that will get lost immediately. Set is easy to assemble and the fence pieces stay together as well as the truck and trailer. Nice level of detail in the pieces for the price and a good complete set as well. Overall, a good quality set of toys that will stand up to everyday play. ... show more
