Let's be honest: these curtains aren't going to win any interior decorating contests. But they're unobtrusive and get the two jobs I was hoping for done. First, they block light. I don't live in a super bright desert area, but where I do live is plenty sunny and the only light that gets through is a few scattered pin pricks. I can sleep fine through that. As for winter insulation, I have noticed that those subtle eddies of cold air that congregate around my windows have ceased entirely with the install of these curtains. I would assume that means that they're keeping the breezes at bay. And I would assume the inverse, that they keep some of the radiant heat out in the summer. Satisfied customer here. ... show more
