We've been reading this book over and over for 5 months. It's my son's favorite and hasn't lost even a little appeal. So buy it if you want to read about the cat family 3 or 4 times a day because the concepts are facinating to toddlers. (They are having a baby, they wreck the car, the tow-truck comes and there is a Christmas surprise for the children). I have renamed the baby because "Babykins is her name" and that's just ridiculous. I call her Baby Stinkpot. Also if you wish to tell your kid that babies come from the stork or FedEx, you'll want to pass this up. I'm buying more Richard Scarry books for variety, but if I meet Scarry on the street, I'm punching him in the gut. ... show more

    • I had this book as a kid and I loved it.
It was one of those books I made my parents read over and over. I think it sends a good message that the true spirit of Christmas isn't getting big, expensive gifts but love toward your friends and family.
