Let me start by saying, I have absolutely NO problem with this lipstick. In fact, Besame is one of my favorite lipstick brands. The colors are beautiful, the consistency is creamy with a beautiful matte finish and the packaging is lovely. The reason I only gave this one star is because of the problem I had with the idiots running the shipping department! I ordered Noir Red and they shipped me Dusty Rose FOUR TIMES!! I finally got fed up and had to order direct from the company. I thought I would be able to use my Prime Membership and skip the shipping costs. I didn’t know it was going to cost me a drive to the UPS store to return all of their bungles! In conclusion, definitely get this lipstick, it’s totally worth it, just buy it from the company direct!

Color: Red Hot Red - 1959
This is pricier lipstick than I usually buy, but I was drawn to the retro designs and authentic period colors of the Besame line...and the fact that they don't do animal testing. The quality of the product will make me buy this again - rich, fade-free, saturated color; good moisture content for my always-dry lips, no creeping outside my lipline, and great staying power overall. Excellent!

This is the most amazing lipstick I have ever used in my life! I wear 2 colors currently Victory Red & 1922 Blood Red. First off the colors are rich and beautiful! Second, the staying put factor is AWESOME! I can put a color on and hours later it still looks fabulous! (My Friend thought I had just applied at 5pm I hadn’t put it on since mid-morning!) Third this stuff smells delicious! I’m hooked and can’t wear anything else now!

Color: Red Velvet - 1946
I have been looking for a flattering red for *years* and this is the perfect one! If you have olive skin from mixed heritage as I do, most reds are too blue or too orange & look garish. This red is a lovely, subdued, almost brick red & looks just like I always wanted red lipstick to look! It brightens up my face & makes me feel retro fabulous. Just one sad note, the Besame review I saw said the tube came in a velvet pouch & mine did not, but the case is so pretty that I don't really mind.

I have C215 Red Velvet, after inspired by the bold lipsticks in Ratched. I wasn't sure if this would be too blue or too orange. I think it's just right in the middle. I can't imagine this not being a flattering color to anyone who wants to go bold. Really takes me back to remembering my mom and her friends who always wore red lipstick. The box says it is a true replica of a color from 1946. I couldn't wait to get it! I'm not disappointed in the least. I really love it.

Color: Dusty Rose - 1969
I purchased Dusty Rose along with Victory Red and Red Hot Red, fully expecting to like the reds better since that's the color I usually wear. To my surprise I fell in love with Dusty Rose after the first day, and it's now my favorite color! After applying two coats it was darker than I had expected, but very flattering. It's wonderfully pigmented and its staying power is a bit better than Victory Red and Red Hot Red, but don't expect it to last through a meal. You'll definitely need touch-ups throughout the day if you eat/drink, but otherwise the vividness lasts the majority of the day. The best part of this lipstick (IMO) is how moisturized my lips still feel after wearing it all day. I loathe the feeling of dry lips, and my previous lipsticks dried them out terribly. The beautiful color, semi-matte finish, and moisturizing properties of these lipsticks will keep me coming back to Besame!

Color: Red Velvet - 1946
I love this lipstick - Its the perfect shade of red for everyday wear because its not too bright. I don't like reds that have pinky or orangey undertones and this one doesn't. I have very fair skin though so I'm not sure how it looks on other skin tones. It doesn't dry out my lips and feels velvety soft. It isn't matte so it will leave marks on glasses and I need to reapply after eating but its worth it. (Bonus - its the shade that Hayley Atwell wears in the Agent Carter series!) I've become a Besame fan after trying this lipstick. (Recommendations - for a deep dark red check out 1922 Blood red, and for a vibrant slightly-magenta undertone red check out 1941 Victory Red).

Color: Red Velvet - 1946
I bought Red Velvet and the color is gorgeous. I feel it has more yellow tones to it than blue. The Besame website describes it as a neutral red but i don't feel it is. However i like it but will not repurchase this color again. I applied the lipstick wither a lip brush, powdered, blotted and powdered again. This was at 7:45am and after 2 cups of coffee, 1 pouch of a juice drink, 1 sandwich and 1 large Starbucks drink it's still kg found strong at 2:30 with just the tiniest bit of fading that only I notice. Great staying power. Can't wait to try another red.
