I did not want to drill my bumper but got a fix it ticket. This allowed me to mount it temporarily on the grill. I replaced the screws provided with a butterfly flip set and washers. It held in place beautifully. It could be a permanent setup if you needed. Very stable. The only thing I would add is to tape some felt to the back of the license plate for any areas that may touch/scratch the bumber. I had some light scratching on the bumber from not doing this. Great license plate holder for those who don't want to drill into their bumper. Screws are included if you wanted to option to drill into it though. Bracket is adjustable and allows you to mess with the angles. It helped out when I had clearance issues with my plate. Haven't had any problems with my plate rubbing on the bumper. ... show more

The product works well although you will still need to make two holes in your front bumper to secure it well, which I have yet to do. I got this item to temporarily get out of a fix it ticket and it did the trick. You will need to make two holes on the underside of your front bumper to screw in the self tapping screws it comes with. I tried to bypass doing this: my Honda Civic has two perfect holes from the manufacturer where the original plate attach but this bracket was not long enough to attach there so due to time restraint I screwed in the screws. You can't see the unsightly holes anyway. Good product for a quick fix, and it looks very clean. ... show more

    • Very adjustable, but will rust.
Very adjustable and easily hackable for your use. I wanted to avoid drilling into my front bumper and used toggle bolts through the grill to attach. Worked out incredibly well and is very sturdy. Able to slightly bend it too to match the contour of the bumper. It did however, rust within 24 hours of installing much as others have noted. Would be nice to have a stainless or painted version. I'll prob pop it back off, sand it down, and paint it to slow the oxidation. Might be worth a trip to the hardware store too for some stainless hardware. For under $7 I'll can deal with the other hassles since were no other good options and would buy again if this one rusts out too badly. (The second runner up was the tow hook mount, but for our car that would've been just over $100.) ... show more

The holes to actually mount the license plate were not drilled properly on the part I received, so I can't use it. Note unequal spacing in the picture, so it doesn't line up with the holes in the plate. I had been waiting for my license plates for my new car to come in before mounting, so I missed the return window. Buyer beware, check as soon as you receive the bracket. ... show more

A perfect solution for my front license plate holder for my ML550 ...Saved me $130 for a plastic, custom ordered Mercedes front license plate holder...just zip tied the back to my front air dam with some foam (non stick) tape, and it looks like a professional job. Fit my 2009 Honda Odyssey perfectly. I bought a used Honda Odyssey from a state that did not have front license plates so there was no bracket for a front license plate, which my state requires. I bought the Honda factory license plate bracket and it was really floppy and was going to require me to drill a hole and put a screw through the bumper to mount it so that it was not floppy. I did not want to do that. This Bell bracket was the solution that has worked great. I had to buy wide washers and nuts and longer bolts to make it reach and attached it through my grill. There is a web forum for no-drill installations of front license plates and that is where I got the tip. I am happy not to have screwed into my bumper. Since I didn't actually screw into my bumper, I will have to avoid car washes with brushes to make sure that this thing stays on, but it is better to go to a brushless car wash anyways. I did test out my normal car wash with brushes once with the Bell bracket holding my license plate and it did flip down. Thank goodness nothing was broken or damaged, but that was a lesson-learned for me to not go there again. If you install this license plate as it was supposed to be installed, I do not see this being an issue for you. ... show more
