  • The kids definitely like them
Size: 100 Count
I'm fairly impressed at these have a pretty short ingredients list. I'm not saying a long list of preservatives. They are simple chocolate. Are they amazing chocolate? No not really. I'm not saying they're terrible, because they aren't. They are just decent chocolate. If you ate one expecting milk chocolate, you won't be disappointed. That's what they are, and that's exactly how they taste. They aren't the prettiest things in the world. Quite a few of them came broken inside of their wrappers. That obviously doesn't change the taste. It doesn't make any difference to me. The kids were a little bit annoyed. Well, at least the smaller kids were. My teenagers didn't mind. My 6-year-old and 8-year-old were the ones who were angry about a few of them being broken. They still ate them. They don't seem to be very old. They have an expiration date of over a year from now. I don't think I'd let them sit that long. It would be very bloomed by that point. As of now, they don't look bloomed. They are rather beat up, which is what you're seeing in the pictures, but they didn't bloom yet. In other words, they are quite fresh. My smaller kids are having a good time exchanging them as currency of course. They end up eating them in the long run. I ate a few just to test them. As I said, they are exactly what you'd expect if you just bid into something expecting milk chocolate. They aren't particularly rich, nor do they have any strange flavors. They are just milk chocolate. Value for money is decent. There are 100 of them in there. In 2026, you probably aren't going to get something like this much cheaper. ... show more

  • Surprised by Taste & Texture ~ Easy to Open Foil ~ Very Fresh! ~ Wonderful Texture ~ Irresistible!
Size: 100 Count
What I like: I'm quite a connessuir of chocolate! My expectations weren't extremely high, as I'm not typically ordering novelty chocolates. I'm more concerned about flavor and texture than I am about presentation. That being said, I am pleasantly surprised and highly impressed with these quality chocolates! The chocolate is smooth and creamy, but has a firm snap to it, as well. The freshnessness is such that it would seem the coin-shaped delights were made this very week! I wrongly assumed that opening each candy would be a chore; much akin to opening those confounded milk chocolate holiday pieces; miniature Easter Eggs, Santas, etc. Not at all the case! The foil coverings are actually two halves, pressed together. All I have to do is feel the coin edge for where the two halves of foil meet, then peel off each half. I'm fully satisfied with the product. I just have to stop taking them to work because it's too convenient to overindulge, as they're quite irresistible! What I don't like: There's nothing less than perfect here. I'd most certainly order this item again. ... show more

  • They taste fine
Size: 100 Count
The weakest part of these are the plastic bag. Mine was busted open with some coins loose in the box and some of the chocolate broken and loose inside the bag as well. That said, the chocolate tastes perfectly fine and having the foil wrapper on each individual one helps a bit with portion control!

  • Huge coins, delicious chocolate
Size: 100 Count
I chose these because I was looking for some candies to put out for St Pats day. These were perfect, they're just as I remember as a kid! These are largest, approximately 1 inch diameter, chocolate coins I've ever seen. They taste just as I recall, with a delicious melt in your mouth Belgian style chocolate. Of course, they're individually wrapped, and the gold foil is incredibly shiny, so putting them in a candy bowl is perfect decoration and easy treat for St Pats day. Overall, these offer an excellent value for approximately 1.5lbs of large and high quality Belgian chocolate gold coins. ... show more

  • For those who appreciate fine chocolate!
Size: 100 Count
Simply amazing! Belgian chocolate has refined processing methods and defined ingredient standards. These chocolate coins certainly demonstrate that process. The coin packaging is the dimension of 50-cent pieces. Although, when is the last time any of us held a 50-cent coin? Regardless, the chocolate has the coin's imprint and make for a nice novelty effect. The chocolate has the flavor of fudge with an overtone of butter. A bit more complex than regular chocolate. Excellent choice for a classroom or home incentive reward. Keep a few for yourself for making a wise candy investment! ... show more

  • My Gold Standard for Edible Riches
Size: 100 Count
I needed a big batch of treats, and these Belgian Gold Chocolate Coins really fit the bill. I’ve tried other brands where the chocolate is stale or waxy, but this European chocolate is smooth and tasty. It has a nice, fresh sweetness that you’d expect from quality milk chocolate. Another great detail is how easy the gold foil wrapper is to handle. You don't have to struggle to get to the candy, which is a definite plus when you're setting up for a party or filling gift bags. They are exactly what I hoped for, and the quality is excellent for this type of celebratory candy. ... show more

  • smooth tasting chocolate, but many unwrapped pieces in the bag
Size: 100 Count
Pretty good tasting chocolate coins. It is a tasty smooth milky chocolate. Not overly sweet, and melts in your mouth. Coin looks like the size of a 50 cent US coin I think and they are thicker than I expected. The reason for the poor rating is obviously the packaging. Got chocolate pieces open in the bag and even whole coins unwrapped! And even though the chocolate coins are actually really easy to unwrap, I don't want it opened up in the bag like that, doesn't look presentable or sanitary. The pack of chocolate seem expensive for what it is and how it looks. ... show more

  • Great if you need a large quantity
Size: 100 Count
This bag of chocolate coins is a great find if you need a large quantity of them. They are sturdy and would hold up to being tossed in a parade. The tin foil is a little difficult to remove, but again that makes it perfect for throwing. I’m on the fence about the chocolate. It’s ok, but it’s not the best. My daughter said that it tastes like the chocolate that you get in the advent calendars from the grocery store. ... show more
