My 4 year old has gone through her fair share of shoes/boots and many do not hold up well to daily use including playing hard outside. These boots are well-made, durable, resistant to wear and tear, and look good on her. We haven't had any trouble with the fluffy lining shedding. The boots keep her feet warm in the winter but they don't get sweaty (and no stinky smell). The sole is flexible but sturdy and offers good support and good traction. So my daughter(2yrs/size 9) wore these boots for the first time today and so far so good. The only issues for us: 1. The fur inside the shoe sheds like crazy. Before she put them on I noticed some. I used a wipe to get the rest off before trying them on and there was still black fur on her socks. 2. Its a little struggle to get the shoes on. I thought the zipper would help but I still have to work, but she has a fat instep so maybe thats the issue, otherwise the 9 fit with space for her toes. We measured my granddaughters foot (toe to heel), exactly as suggested, and we ordered the size based on her measurement….which ended up being huge. They fit & looked like clown boots on her, so we ordered the next size down. Hopefully they will fit well.
