This dress was exactly as I hoped. The quality of the fabric and stitching is good. In the 3rd picture you can see the lining in the bodice. It is very comfortable, snug around the lower ribs, waistline is just above my natural waistline, as most dresses of this style are. This means it doesn't squeeze at the waist, which is nice. I got a size small. I am 5'4, 123-ish pounds. I was concerned about the bodice with this style. I am a 34A and this style bodice usually doesn't fit real well no matter what. This fits but not as snug as I would like, but that is what I expected. It comes a bit low on me for my comfort so I put an insert in the neckline (first picture). I think it still looks nice, though. In the first picture I have a petticoat on underneath, in the second picture I do not. I think it looks good both ways, even without it. The blue color with the white dots looks great. Love the color. When I first put it on the seam at the bottom of the bodice was folded up and made the fabric look bunched up. When I figured out why it looked that way, I just folded the seam down inside and it is fine. I have not yet steamed this dress so the wrinkles you see are how it came out of the package, it has been hanging for a few days but that is it. Needs to be steamed but doesn't look too bad. This is a very baby pink cute dress. The style is very flattering. This dress does not have pockets. It is comfortable and stylish. The fabric is a heavier feeling fabric with no stretch. I am 5’1” and 188 lbs and ordered a size 16.

The dress fit great! Fabric was nice and had some give to it so even if I overate it would probably still be comfortable. I could move and breath fine and at no time felt like I was squeezing myself into a dress. The problem with it though was the zipper. It got stuck when I first tried it on and I shrugged it off because I was able to get it to function correctly and at first glance it didn't appear to be damaged. However the night of the event I bought this for, the zipper split open along the teeth. I was able to get it off and realigned twice but the 3rd time, as I was walking to the venue a few blocks away I felt it split again. I stopped in a bathroom to remove the dress and discovered that this time the zipper pull had completely snapped apart. Thankfully I had a shawl to cover the dress because there was no time to turn around. Concierge service was also great and provided me some safety pins. I'm giving stars because it was definitely pretty and the fabric itself felt sturdy. But the zipper was super cheap. Thankfully I know how to sew so I replaced the zipper myself rather than put myself through the headache of taking a 2nd chance of this happening again. ... show more

Firstly: I NEVER write reviews. I bought this dress in the white and the black intending to keep one, but both of these beauties have a home in my closet from this day on! The fit is accurate to the chart, so follow it. Fabric is light, but not transparent or cheap-textured. Cotton/spandex with some stretch..enough that I could have ordered the L instead of the XL, but I like my clothes a little on the loose side. Stats: 64 years old, 5'51/2", 150-155lbs, depending; Bust: 38C bra (wearing a Carnival long line 36d in the pics as well as Cupid shapewear bottom...but I could have done without them.) Waist: 33", Hips: 42". I follow the charts for 40-33-42. I wear a size 12 dress and 10-12 pants (age-related butt atrophy, lol!!!) Bodice of this dress is LINED with a poly knit, so the pleats stay flat across the bosom, which is tacked with a stitch. Pic included. The waist actually measures in at a 35, plus there's some stretch, so it is generously cut. The skirt is not a full circle skirt (as in my Grace Karin dress,) but it's more of a 2/3 circle skirt, as pictured...that's the only point I may have changed. But that said, you can see that it accommodates a crinoline very prettily. I tend to be long-waisted, but this dress actually fell to my waist, unlike the Karin dresses which fall somewhere between my bust and waist. I'm not short - 5'51/2, and even with the crinoline the dress fell to just below the knees. All said: Great dress, great fit, quality manufacture, great price and a great value.     • Great wedding dress for second marriages
Size large was good. However I am a 36 DDD, 163 lbs and 5’6. It runs small if you have big boobs. I am getting married for the second time and is perfect. Just know if you have big boobs get a size larger. Quality is great and a nice material.

    • Practically Perfect, but no pockets
My only complaint is that there are NO POCKETS!!! (I assumed as much when buying the dress based on the description.) But since I’m capable of adding my own and the side-seam placement will make this relatively easy, it was more important to me to pick a style and fabric I liked. The fit and flare style is perfect for a curvy figure and the white on black polka dot pattern is adorable. The fabric is truly cotton except for a little polyester in the bust lining. This fabric will probably wrinkle a little more easily but at least it will *breath* —very important if you’re going dancing! I’m usually a size 14 (L/XL) but I ordered the 3XL because my bust measurement was in-between sizes and the cotton fabric has NO stretch. There’s a little looseness and gaping but I think I’m happier with this than if I’d ordered the smaller size. This is probably most appropriate for casual occasions but I plan to wear it with heels to a semi-formal wedding where there will be dancing and I want to be able to move comfortably. ... show more
