I recently gifted this Baseball Bible Verse Cross Necklace to my 16-year-old nephew, and it was an absolute home run! As an avid baseball player, the baseball engraving on the cross pendant was an incredibly thoughtful and fitting detail that he instantly loved. My son really loves this chain. The cross is a little thicker than other crosses he has, but we decided it was because they needed room to put the verse words on the side. I like that the chain is not too too skinny (not feminine), but not a huge chunky chain either. He felt a little strange at first about having baseball stitching on a cross (like maybe that would feel blasphemous or like you're raising baseball up higher elevation of importance than it should be) but we felt that it was a nice way to display his faith while wearing his baseball uniform and worship the Lord by playing the game he loves with Godly character and let that shine on the field.

This necklace would be okay for a kid that didn't know any better, but for an adult looking for what is advertised - look elsewhere. In theory this is a nice necklace. The look, feel, and weight of it is nice. If you have a baseball lover, they would likely like this necklace. It is unique. But the whole premise of including a Bible verse is where the necklace goes south. One of the "verses" offered does not correspond to anything that exists. The necklace I selected was Philippians 4:13, but there is no "Philippians" engraved on the necklace. Again this is cute for someone who doesn't care or know any better, but I cannot get over the fact that something so specific was misrepresented.

I’m always skeptical of jewelry online because I’ve gotten cheap/fake items before. This necklace was for my 12 year old baseball player, who is allergic to pretty much everything except oxygen. It does seem to be real stainless steel and is beautifully made. He hasn’t had any reactions or discoloring of skin! No typos on the biblical verse and didn’t tarnish with sweating or showering. My son absolutely loved it!! Negatives: The bag that the necklace came in (inside of a nice velvet pouch) says “for boys 8-12”. My 12 year old is a bit small for his age, but the necklace was even long on his 14 year old friend. I measured the chain and it is 23”. I wish it was adjustable, or you could order different lengths. 2. (This is also related to the length, I suppose) My son hasn’t taken the necklace off for the past 4 days, but while at the computer last night, he bent down for a Dorito he dropped, and when he stood back up, the long chain hooked on the edge of the coffee table and snapped. The chain quality is nice, and I don’t think regular wear will break it. But children, specifically athletic boys constantly moving, (and eating Doritos off of the floor) wont specially avoid situations like my sons. I do think a shorter chain in the first place would have made this avoidable. I’m going to bring the broken necklace to a jeweler friend and ask them to put the cross on one of my son’s twisted nylon necklaces.
