This black and white zigzag necktie looks great. It is an astonishing 64.5 inches long, which means you need at least a Double Windsor knot to keep the tie from dangling out below your jacket. There is a tie loop with a brand label below it that can also function as a tie loop. You could use them to shorten the tie if needed (feed it through both, then feed the end back through the top loop). The tag says it is “Polyester Cotton Spandex” with no percentages. The product page says it has “cashmere cotton” to make it feel soft. The tie feels far more like cotton than polyester. It is well hemmed with a twilled black lining. This is made in China. The product page says “hand wash”. The tie tag laundry symbols are: do not machine wash; do not bleach; iron on low. The included silver metal tie clip has a “bite” clip, and looks good. I got this tie for my son who’s at college in business school. He’s been looking for a light blue tie with a subtle pattern for a while now, so I think he’s going to be pumped that I found this. Being such a fantastic price, I knew I was taking a chance, but the second I opened the package and felt this tie in my hands, I knew I made a good choice because it’s a beautiful tie! It’s weighted nicely with proper inner structure (lining) feeling thick and substantial. The edges are rolled giving you the fullness you should see in a good tie, and all of the seams match perfectly. I see no irregular stitching or weird patterns. The tipping matches, and the bar tack is reinforced at both ends. For those who are looking for a specific type of fabric/material, *important to note* the item description is actually listed two different ways in the ad, and is a bit misleading (or confusing, at the very least) It’s called ‘Barry Wang Cotton’, but then states the tie is ‘cashmere-wool’ —right there in main listing. But wait, there’s more— you go further down into the description details and then it says the material is a ‘blend’ of cashmere, cotton and polyester (no wool) and then states the cashmere was added separately to give a softer feel. Personally, I’m fine with this. But I do feel it’s misleading and important to point out for others. The only downside I can see with the material is that it does feel like it may be at risk for ‘pilling’ in areas of high friction after a few wears. But honestly I feel like that’s where ‘you get what you pay for’ comes into play. It passed my ‘resilience’ test with flying colors, bouncing right back to its perfect shape. Even if my son only gets a few uses out of it I would be happy. Overall, I would definitely recommend and give the tie 4 stars. ... show more

This here is a very well made tie. My son 17 has been wearing ties for 10 years or more. So we have been through quite a few. From the hand me downs to the fancy Christmas gifts. This has to be one of the better ones I have come across in a while. Clean herringbone pattern. All stitching rock solid and comes with a tie clip. Nice touch nothing fancy but son liked as well. This is a great sort-of casual tie. It feels more cotton than polyester, so that's why I said casual. At 63", it gives plenty of room for a big knot. The weight of the tie indicates a level of quality not expected in a $12 tie. Although not necessary to even include in a $12 tie, even the tie clip has some heft to it.
