  • Olive Oils

Description

This extra virgin olive oil is produced entirely from green olives we harvest from our orchards in October. It is high in chlorophyll which explains its green color and grassy flavor. It is well balanced, robust but with an artichoke-grassy finish. Because green olives don't contain much olive oil, it is inevitably more expensive to produce. Perfect on mozzarella cheese, for bruschetta or fresh on seafood, it will certainly highlight any dish you prepare. This olive oil is available in limited quantity!

  • New harvest flavor
Nice flavor, tart.

  • Strong
I've tried other early harvest olive oils and when I first tried this one I didn't like it, it tasted and smelled overwhelmingly grassy. But after the first bottle, I got used to it and don't notice the grassiness anymore. It's a delicious olive oil. My only concern is why no certifications or analysis to show us how many polyphenols and other compounds we're getting? I use this olive oil for so many things every day but my favorite is drizzled on air-popped white popcorn with some salt. ... show more

  • Great olive oil but not what I ordered
This is an excellent everyday olive oil at a great price but I ordered the Early Harvest Olive Oil and that is NOT what I received. I received their regular extra virgin olive oil with the white label, not the green label pictured. So buyer beware, you don't know what you're going to end up with if you order from this seller.... ... show more

  • Best EVO from California
The taste is perfection. All those complaining about the taste have never had high quality olive oil before it does tingle the back of throat because of the high amounts of antioxidants and yes it has a strong flavor that we are after for this type of oil. Bravo

  • Cap Damaged – though not from shipping
I’m still measuring the flavor but I was immediately off put by receiving the bottle with a very damaged cap. The seal was not broken and the bottle did not appear chipped; however, it is not something I would’ve pulled off the shelf to buy. Further, I wonder why the harvest date was 2019, yet it was not bottled until almost a year later. What happened in the meantime? ... show more

  • It's a good olive oil made in California
It's a good olive oil made in California. If you aren't familiar with an imported olive oil from a non US company, you may get corn oil mixed with olive oil. You see that in the grocery stores. It doesn't have to be labeled as such. That's why I like to buy California olive oil.

  • Rancid Oil!
Maybe I'm missing something. Did my research an this was highly rated, but it tastes like rancid flax oil to me, which is horrible if you haven't tried it. Bought this in August 2018 from two different suppliers to see if it was good and if one supplier was better than another. Sorry, but lost track of which bottle was from which supplier and throw one way already, but both tasted bad. After tossing the first one I noticed that the second was "Harvested in Oct 2017 and was best before 5/7/2018", as stated on the label, see right one in the pic. This was after the best by date, but honestly, I don't think it would have mattered. Both should have been good, even if a little over the best by date. Also, if bottled correctly, they should not have been tasting OK regardless of the date. I also purchased a third bottle from a third supplier on Amazon on Nov 18, 2018 (stupid me) and it said "Harvested: Fall of 2017 and Best by 8/1/2018, also out of date. I too tasted bad. Do not buy this from anyone or maybe just not from anyone on Amazon. Disgusting Crap! ... show more
