I can’t begin to say how much I love my Barbour Beadnell waxed jacket in classic olive! It is waterproof for wet weather, has a more feminine shape than the Bedale, is effortlessly countryside-chic, and perfect for outdoor festivals and hiking. We live in coastal South Carolina where it is handy for our coldest winter days in in the 40-50’s. We also spend a lot of time at our vacation home in the Smoky Mountains, where it can be chilly even in the spring. I went by Barbours size guidelines when ordering, and at first try-on wished I’d have sized down, but with a cozy sweater layered underneath the sizing is perfect. It is truly comfy, has great pocket spaces, and I adore the soft plaid lining. For colder temps I purchased the matching zip-in liner, scarf, and the hood. I also have a Beadnell polarquilt jacket, but find I wear the waxed jacket more often. If you live in a region with frigid winter temperatures you would only be able to wear the waxed jacket in the spring and fall, but it’s worth every penny. ... show more
