The 6 sizes come in a ziplock separating each size, so it is still kept orderly, although id much rather it came with simply a container with 6 separated sections instead of 4. Every time I am i need of a ball bearing I commonly have oily hands so opening the bags is all but impossible, vs just grabbing one out of a small bin. ... show more

Having been a mechanic for a few decades, I can’t count the number of times I’ve been working on something with bearings or check balls where one goes flying into the wild blue yonder, never to be seen again. So one thing I learned early on was to always scavenge and save ball bearings when the opportunity presented itself. This kit has plenty of hard steel balls of varying sizes that are likely to cover most any need. This will also come in handy for my machine shop projects where I may need to build thrust bearing packs for vises or clamps. Or for building custom turn tables.
