Value for money: I've looked at a lot of UPF shirts since having a melanoma removed last year. I want something that protects from the sun but isn't too hot, and regular dri-weave shirts just aren't cool enough when they're long-sleeved. However, many UPF shirts cost a lot more money than I want to pay. I was willing to gamble on this one since it was on sale for $15, especially since I liked the colors available. I normally wear a medium long-sleeved t-shirt (size 10) and debated between a medium and a large. I chose the medium and really like the fit; it isn't too clingy (a potential problem with this fabric) or too baggy. If you want a very loose fit, size up. I live in North Carolina, where summers can be hot and steamy, and I tested this one on a late afternoon in the low-mid 80s with humidity in the 70s. Once I got over my knee-jerk reaction of "it's too hot to wear anything long-sleeved!", I realized that this shirt was much cooler than any long-sleeve dri-weave shirt that I own. I took it off for part of my walk (sports bra, thank you, did not go topless) and didn't feel that much cooler. This is a bargain for the money, and it looks good to boot! I'll most likely buy another one.

I love the shirt and have it in numerous colors...BUT, I highly recommend trying it on every time. I tried one on and it fit great, so I cut off all the tags and washed them. As I wore them I quickly discovered they all fit a little different. They are NOT consistent. At all. Shirt length, sleeve length, tightness, looseness...it's all over the place. But again, I really like the shirts. I wear them for tennis and hiking.

Best shirts for sun protection! Our family goes to a Mexico timeshare every year and our first year on day 1 I got extremely burned despite putting on sunscreen frequently during the day. It made my trip so miserable as we spend much of the time in the sun by the pool or beach. I tried these shirts the next year over my swim suit and they worked absolutely wonderful! I didn’t go out in the sun without one on and it provided 100% coverage! I came back with no sun at all which is a lot better than a bad burn. If you want some sun you can go without the shirt a bit to allow for some sun. I got a new swimsuit this year and needed a different color shirt to match and I was excited to see a much larger variety in colors than before. These work wonders and eliminates constantly putting on sunscreen!

I do a lot of yard work & I've tried wearing long sleeves to work in to protect myself from the sun & from bugs & poison ivy, etc. No matter how lightweight a shirt was I'd get so hot I thought I'd pass out. I was determined to find something after breaking out for the third time from something in the yard, so I looked & decided to try this shirt. I LOVE it! It's comfortable, pretty & I can actually work in it in the heat & not be uncomfortable. I love it so much I just ordered 3 more! The fit was great too! I highly recommend it!
