When I saw fleece winter in the description I thought these would have a thicker fleece, but instead they are still rather thin. The material is very stretchy to have a snug fit, and there is some insulation, just not the wooly sort of lining I expected. These will not be warm enough for below freezing unless you are very active while wearing them. My daughter is going to need to wear long johns underneath when it's consistently below freezing.

After consulting the size chart, I ordered these for my 20+ daughter. She generally wears women's small to extra small pants. I thought a child's XL might fit her. Unfortunately, they did not. She got them on ok, but the proportions were off and they were not comfortable. The rise from crotch to waist was too short. It's too bad, because overall they are good looking pants that have a soft interior. They look like they would be warm without being too bulky.

I got a pair of these riding pants for myself a while ago in women sizes. And then got these for my kid. They’re adorable and well made. The grips feel good and secure. And sticky enough to grip while not being so sticky that it’s annoying. They’re kinda stretchy but also firm. Good pants

I got a child size Large for my daughter and they fit true to size. The fabric was nice and smooth on the outside, and fleecy on the inside-perfect for cold days in the barn. My daughter felt that they were very flexible and comfortable. The silicone grip pattern is subtle, but cute and is just sticky enough to help, but not hinder. We also really like the zip up pocket to keep extra treats in! I go the black ones, but will be buying more in different colors.

I went with the largest size as a small adult woman and knew that they would likely be a bit snug which they are. I would consider this fits as expected. The seat grip is surprisingly good quality and they are fleece lined without being oppressively thick-- these aren't the type of winter riding pants that you would be miserable in during the summer. The bold rose pink is GORGEOUS, deep and bright but not offensively neon. The pockets are HUGE, fitting not only my hand but covering my whole wrist, when fully flat. Smartphones would fit no problem even with a case. The zip pocket on the right is a solid bonus! I'd dare to say that these rival with Kerrits given the fun color and price point.
