Love the design of this, I just wish it didn’t drain batteries so quickly! Like other reviewers, shortly after we received this it started glitching and would not play anything after the start up tune. I think I’ve figured out the cause of the glitch...this toy drains batteries extremely fast and if the batteries are even slightly low that’s when it becomes unplayable, at least that’s how it’s been for us. Turning it off for a time didn’t help, but fresh batteries normally fixes it. It’s a shame as we LOVE the smaller version of this that looks like a MP3 player teether and it doesn’t seem to drain batteries nearly as fast! ... show more

    • Granddaughter loves the music, but we're starting to experience some problems

My granddaughter (and I) love the music offered by this toy. I appreciate that there are about 20 different tunes and that they're from "adult" sources, not just nursery rhymes and children's songs. She will dance to the music and has figured out how to move the button to change the genre. I think she just likes moving the button -- at 14 months, she's not yet searching for anything in particular. She also likes the special effects button. Recently, we started to have some playback issues. For example, when I turn the toy on, it will play the intro music and just stop. I'll hit the orange button (which is play) and the toy plays the intro music again and stops. I've found that if I turn the toy off and wait a minute or so and then turn it back on, it will usually fix the problem. (I turn the toy off after using it -- we don't leave it on continually.) This seems to be less of a problem with the classical selections. Similar problems were reported in the reviews that I read before purchasing. I still like the toy and most of the time it works. I just wanted to add my voice to those speaking of playing issues in hopes that something might be done to improve this toy. ... show more

I was pleasantly surprised by the sound on this thing, it's got a little bass/treble to it. I like the songs it plays, nice variety and the colors are great. The ONLY thing is that each station plays for 5-7 minutes at a time. I got this to put on the mat with my 5 month old, to encourage him to roll and entertain him during tummy time. So I wanted something that played continuously or at least longer. It's still a lot better than the take along tunes which I had to get up and press the button every 30 seconds. Overall would still recommend this product, just know that it doesn't play continuously. ... show more
