I installed this on my 1969 Chevy C10 since I added the 400 turbo transmission. The only thing that I had to do that took time was make a bracket for the switch. None of the brackets purchased would work. It works great and easy to wire up but I would always wire to the fuse box.

Great product..Used it on my 65 Pontiac 2+2, 421 . Read the directions a couple of times before you try to install. I ended up cutting the cable to short & screwing up the spring but was able to go to the local hardware store & buy what I needed to fix what I screwed up... Again, works great, but don't, repeat, don't cut anything until after you have it mocked up and and see that it is workingworking ... show more

    • Works as advertised, but installation isn’t easy
After the difficult installation, I am happy with the performance. The installation proved difficult with the spring and the rod mating together. Maybe I got one that was made at 5:00 on Friday.

    • The cable was too short
When installing on a 454 Chevy with a 400 turbo and a 750 Holly the cable is a touch too short . Hope i can find one at the hardware store . Everything else seems legit .

Simple to install and works great. Transmission shifts like it suppose to.I would reccommend this kit to anyone with a GM turbo 400 transmission.

Had to give it 3 stars due to the fact that my first one failed after 3 weeks. I did get a free replacement- but decided to go with the factory switch on the gas pedal, since I had the bracket in the car. I switched from a manual to the TH400 and was pleased to see that the switch bracket was in the vehicle. It is an easy to install item and has more adjustment to it than the factory setup, but mines doing fine so far without it. ... show more
