I've had trouble getting Rare Gold from Avon for a couple months, so thought I'd see what I'd get via Amazon. I saw reviews where people say it doesn't smell the same, but I have to disagree. I've been wearing this scent since it first became available (in 1995!), and I honestly think it smells exactly as it should. With that being said, I do feel it doesn't last as long as it used to, but as everyone knows, manufacturers are finding all kinds of ways to cut corners. The scent isn't as intense as it used to be, but it does smell the same. I do a couple extra spritzes on my bare skin before I get dressed, and that seems to do the trick. I'm just happy to be able to get it at all - if I ever find out Avon decides to discontinue Rare Gold, be assured I'll be creating a stockpile to take me well into old age. 😄 ... show more

Rare Gold was one of my favorite to wear because the scent would last all day. However, after buying this one, I will change because now the scent only last for a brief moment.

This is my favorite perfume. I have worn this perfume so long, now my daughter wears it also I wouldn't switch to any other fragrance. I like other perfumes but this is my favorite.I get so many compliments Abt this perfume.
