The lace is soft, the hook in the front is very convenient but I wish that it was a little sturdier as its already bending a little after two uses. This pinkie purple is the 3rd I've ordered and plan to order more. Love them! I should mention I haven't tried the underwear part because that type of underwear looks horribly uncomfortable.
