Perfect timing
I don't know why I didn't get this sooner. This is very quiet and keep my automatic watch wound so I don't have to continue to reset it everytime I go to wear it. I should have got a double holder since I switch between two automatics. The case is very nice and looks very high quality. I should have ordered the textured faux leather for some style. It takes batteries or can be plugged in. It is intermittent in one direction and the switches to the opposite direction, so it is not constantly running, but even if it was the motor is super quiet, I don't even notice when it is running. Note the 30 day warranty which is why I deducted a star, but it's been working like a champ so far.

Motor burned out within 6 months from purchase date

I purchased this watch winder in February 2025 so I could keep my Tudor or Rolex watch ready to go while I wore one and wound the other. 6 months later and the motor no longer works. There are two power options to wind your watch which were the primary reason for purchasing this item; a cord option and a AA battery option. I used the cord option primarily and it took less than 6 months for the motor to burn out.

UPDATED REVIEW: Affordable watch winder, motor started to fail after 2-3 years
UPDATE: DECEMBER 2025 For the past 6 months the winder has been consistently not spinning when powering on. Instead, it emits a faintly light clicking noise coming from the base. I can usually get it to start spinning again if I power it off and on multiple times and or manually spin the turntable a few times. Additionally, the mechanism when it does spin has become louder over time. The outer case materials are beginning to show signs of age (even though I rarely touch the exterior), it appears that perhaps 2-3 years is the lifespan of this winder - for me at least, yet it is still very affordable and therefore I am docking two stars from my original rating, but would not purchase this winder again. ORIGINAL REVIEW 2023 (BELOW): This is the first watch winder I have ever purchased and this review is based on my experience (or lack thereof). I recently received a self-winding (automatic) wristwatch and needed to purchase a winder to ensure that the watch would be constantly wound. My must-haves for an autowinder was that it had to be: small/compact, quiet, not battery-reliant, and discreet in appearance. Based on the above I chose this winder. I liked that it was offered in a few different exterior finishes so that I could match it to the area where I would keep it. This winder I chose to keep on the corner of my bedside table - the table has a very dark black-brown wood finish so I felt that the alligator patterned faux-leather finish offered the best contrast of dark color and masculinity. The watch winder is incredibly quiet when in operation. I have it connected to wall/AC power since the outlet is near my side table. The interior of the winder is nicely lined with the same material as the exterior and the cushion upon which you would strap the watch is well-made and sturdy. Operation of the unit is simple, it just takes one click of the rear-located power button to turn it on and off. Not only does it function well but it looks cool! I would purchase this winder again.
