  • Excellent customer service
I followed the directions, but the driver window vent shade cracked. I emailed the company, honestly with a crappy attitude. They were very professional, and handled the situation like a pro. They sent me a whole new complete set free of charge. That's what I call superb, excellent, top notch customer service. I would recommend this company to my grandmother, if she needed vent shades! Lol. ... show more

  • Window vent visors
I have used the AVS brand of vent visors on all my previous vehicles with no issues at all and they lasted till I traded each vehicle. However, this time... I test fitted each visor and they look good. I installed them and left the windows closed for about 36 hours. The first time I opened/closed each window the visors severely cracked in each rear corner. Now the windows will not close unless I pull on the visor while closing each window. My windows have a auto open feature if they think something is in the way (arm, finger or a child). In review each visor seems to be a little too long and end up bowing outwards. ... show more

  • Proper Installtion Technique listed in review
BEFORE YOU TRY TO INSTALL THESE ON YOUR KIA SORENTO, PLEASE READ!!! I read many of the negative reviews on these but have bought AVS inchannel vent visors in the past and have had nothing but great things to say about them. I ordered these and glad I did. They fit great and look great! I believe the problem most people are having with the fit is that the directions are poor at best....the entire piece does not fit in the window channel. Only the pieces with the 3M tape fit in the window channel. The flange that is without 3M tape fits outside the window channel, between the rubber seal and the frame of the car. **Fit the flange overtop of the rubber seal and slide it flush with the car frame. If you try and fit the whole visor in the window channel, the window will not roll up. I think AVS needs to update their directions to clearly reflect this piece of information. Once properly fitted, they are the same great AVS quality I have always had in the past. I hope this helps! ... show more

  • You'll find better instillation instructions among the Amazon reviews.
These window ventshades are great; the quality is there, they work as well as any other pair I've had, and they actually fit the Sorento properly. That said, the instillation instructions are about useless and when installed wrong these ventshades will crack due to excessive pressure applied to them. That said, they held in place and worked as needed for a year before I got around to buying another pair and installing properly. Read through the reviews, find one of the ones that includes proper installation instructions, and go from there. You'll not regret it. ... show more

  • Front visors need rear tabs trimmed off to clear glass
Packaging had stuck to the 3M adhesive strips, so some pulled off as I was unpackaging them, making a test fit prior to adhesion impossible. If I had been able to check, I would have noticed the rear tabs on the front door interfere with the windows rolling up, and would have trimmed them down or off. Needless to say, after adhering, pushing in on visors to roll front windows up (hoping that with the pressure against the strips that there would be no issues later), waiting 3 days, my wife went through a drive through and rolled window down..upon rolling back up, the drivers side window visor cracked and rear tab area broke off. Upon inspecting passenger side, it too, cracked and popped out of track, clearing the glass. These are still reasonable priced and decently made in track visors, on the 2019 Kia Sorento installation, I would trim the rear tab that goes in the track flush to clear the glass.. I believe there is another review (found after the fact) that says much the same.. ... show more

  • Flimsy not worth the money for the in channel
Unfortunately I had to have this replaced twice it had broken in the same spot on the front windows it did not fit my vehicle as it said it did, once it was installed in the inside channel it would get hung up on on the window causing it to bend and break and not allowing the window to close very flimsy in corners. Also on both sets The ridges we're rough and unfinished, I have installed these plenty of times on other vehicles in channel and out of channel. ... show more

  • Perfect Fit. Easy and Sturdy Install Instructions
Poor included instructions are the reason for the bad reviews. While these are not as good as the big name brand they fit just as well and easily if you follow some important tips as follows. 1. Clean the window channel thoroughly. I used a microfiber cloth and straight alcohol to thoroughly clean the channel. This entrie ensures good adhesion of the tape 2. Read the instructions then read them again. Notice carefully where the reference the "flange". On both the front and rear deflectors this is the piece that does NOT have any tape attached. 3. The attached picture shows where the window meets the black trim panel that separates the front and rear doors. The yellow circle points to the thin strip of rubber that meets the trim and the red shows how the properly installed visor should appear. 4. The trick here is that the untaped part of the flange does NOT go into the window channel. Instead, it is supposed to fit between that thin rubber lip and the black plastic trim. The instructions does a poor job of explaining this but when dry fitting look carefully and you will see how you can slip the flange between the thin rubber lip and the black trim. The rest of the visor then fits into the window channel as per the instructions. I started at the untaped flange end and worked my way towards the other end constantly pushing the visor into the channel while pulling it towards the outside visualizing the tape making full contact in the channel. Once the visor is in completely, slowly roll the window up to verify that it completely closes. This also seats the visor fully. Then open the window halfway before closing it fully and at full speed. Do not open the window for at least 12 hours, 24 is better. I prefer WeatherTech but that's not yet available for latest generation Sorrentos. ... show more
