I love that the elastic hits at the natural waist (the smallest part of the waist) as opposed to an empire waist fit, since this is much more flattering on my body type. The length is exactly as pictured...just above the knees. It is a crew neck fit, and the armholes don't expose and side boob or armpit fat. The material is thin and flowy, so it will be perfect for summer. It is also very stretchy, so if you're in between sizes or aren't sure, I would go a size down (I normally wear a 2X in Auselily dresses but the XL is perfect). I ordered the navy and it is a true navy. There are pockets kn with sides, and the dress is pleated below the elastic waist. It does arrive with an overwhelming chemical smell but is washed out. This dress is so soft, so comfy, fits great, has pockets. However, buyer beware that fabric pattern placement varies from dress to dress. Basically I have a giant flower eyeball right on my boob. Super comfy.. and I'm not really the type of girl that likes wearing dresses so that's saying something! Fits just right. Just the right amount of stretch. Very comfy fabric. I got the green and it's not see through. I assume most colors would be the same way. I'm relatively tall, have wimpy shoulders and very small chest and upper body but it fits fine. There's also definitely room for bigger boobs under there though if you're a bit chesty. I feel like this dress would be very accommodating for various shapes and sizes. I usually have issues with dresses being long enough to cover enough of my butt without being too long, I like to covering enough of my chest to be comfortable and I usually have gaping under the arms. I don't like my bra sticking out. I don't have to worry at all about any of that. I bought this as a dress to wear to feel free and comfortable this summer. Just got the dress 5 minutes ago. I had to get on instantly and say how much I love, love, love this dress. I am 5' 4" and weigh 135lbs and got the small it fits perfect. I was afraid it would look frumpy being 56 and having that 4 kids bulge in my middle. This dress is so pretty casual and could be dressy with heels and accessories. Any dress with pockets is a winner for me! I cant wait to start wearing! And the price point can’t be beat! I’m usually between a small and medium in most clothing (generally size 6-8). I ordered a medium which was okay but I also ordered a small and liked the way the top of the dress fit on the small rather than the medium. Also, there was more pleating in the bottom of the dress on the medium. Going with the small was just more of a fit preference for hot, humid weather this summer when I know I will be wearing this. The material is really soft and comfortable and washed well - gentle cycle/rack dry.     • Comfy and Soft ... but Not Perfect
Size: X-Large Color: 01-purple Gray
I was looking for a simple, pull-on dress that I could wear on summer weekends. This one was on sale, and I really liked the purple gray color, so I decided to try it. Here are my observations after wearing it for a while. Pros: Super-soft, lightweight fabric that's perfect for Midwest summer weekends I love the purple gray color as much in person as I did in the picture The pockets are nice The neckline and bodice are comfortably modest The straps completely hide my bra straps The skirt is a nice length Cons The fabric is pretty thin (admittedly, a plus in Midwest summers), which means a padded bra might be in order if you don't like nipple showage You won't want to put anything heavy (like keys) in the pockets, or they'll stretch and make you look lopsided The waist is a tiny bit higher than my natural waist, which makes me want to continually pull down on the skirt to get it to sit right; this impacts the comfort level significantly Overall, the first two cons are not terribly important. The third, however, becomes a constant annoyance quite quickly. I had hoped that perhaps I could order an XXL for comparison, but XL was a large as they came. I'm hoping that after I lose some weight, the waistline will land a little lower (since the bodice will not have to stretch quite so much to cover my torso), and this problem will be solved. Time will tell. My recommendation? If you're not carrying around extra middle-age pounds, it might be the perfect fit for you! Since the waistline issue is my only major complaint, anyone who doesn't have the same problem will probably be delighted with the dress. ... show more
