This dress is exactly what I wanted! The fabric is soft and beautiful. The pockets are deep. I wanted to point out a few little things, though. First, I'm 5'2 and 160 lbs. This dress hits me about 2 inches below the knee. From the other pictures it seems to hit taller women a little higher so be aware if you're a shorty, it's going to look a bit longer. Another thing, The top is not tight, but it is very fitted and quite thin. If you're a "hills-and-valleys" type of girl, it's going to show. A few easy solutions would be to wear something "smoothing" underneath, pair with a light cardigan, or just say "screw it" and let it all hang out. It's all good. Last, if you have a belly like me, the empire waist line might give the slight impression of a bun in the oven. A nice pair of tights underneath solves this problem pretty well, but If any of these issues are a deal breaker, you might want to steer clear. Other than that, this dress is really very nice, pairs well with lots of different pieces and will be great in warm and cold weather alike. I'm ordering another one right now!

Overall a great dress but the top doesn’t fit like on the model if you have a larger chest. There is a lot of stretch so it fits well overall but the top hits at an odd place if your chest is larger.

This is a very flattering fit and hides any belly bulges. The fabric is of a good weight - not at all transparent and provides a good hang to the dress. Pockets are a big plus too

I wish I liked this dress. I just feel kind of "meh" about it. It fits like two different dresses sewn together. The top half is very form-fitting-- which is fine-- and the bottom half is very loose and flowy-- which is also fine. The two halves are joined together by a rather awkward band of thin elastic and the effect looks like something that would come out of a high school sewing class. On me, that elastic band hits at the thinnest part of my waist, so there's this nice, form-fitting silhouette until you reach my waist and all of a sudden there's a bunch of fabric and some cheap looking elastic bulking everything out in the oddest way. This bulking is exacerbated by the fact that this dress has pockets. I have never cared for pockets on my dresses and they definitely aren't doing any favors for the lines of this dress. I'm 5'5" and the hem hits me exactly at the middle of my kneecap. As a shortish person, I can't think of a less flattering place for the hem to be. The arms are... weird. The armholes themselves seem to be fine, but the upper part of the actual sleeve is very tight (on my dress, the left one is tighter than the right-- so much so that it pinches). The color is pretty and the fabric is that super lightweight jersey fabric that you expect from a cheap dress from China. The color and the fabric are fine, it's the bland design and poor fit that I don't like. I am 99% sure I'm going to send this back because I really can't stand the length or the elastic waist and I don't think covering it up with a blazer or cardigan is going to help it look less frumpy on me.

I have purchased other casual dresses from Amazon that have been flattering, but this one was a miss. The top part of the dress was too tight while the waist was too loose. The fabric was not very high quality - not soft at all, and the stitching was not consistent. The dress was not too sheer.I did love the maroon color, the pockets, and style of the dress. It just did not work for me. I ordered my usual size (small).
