One of the paddles are exactly as expected, the second one is very gritty feeling (they spray a water resistant application is my thoughts) the one that’s rough is like holding a high grit sand paper. Prob about to get few blisters but can’t return bc it took 4+ days longer to get then what was advertised and I’ll need it within the week ... show more

Bought to decorate and hang, 5 stas for that purpose. As a canoe paddle it needs finishing work before it can be used. There are multiple rough spots, probably in the wood itself, that need a good sanding and a smooth varnish. Without it one would have blisters very quickly since the handle is one of the rough spots. There are 2 or 3 large drip makes on the end of the blade, not a big deal but clearly visible. ... show more
