First, packaged arrived earlier than it was expected to. Nothing damaged or tampered with which was a plus. (Note: I’m not a prime member and I did normal delivery shipping method.) Second, just imagine if BioShock had a baby with Fallout. I couldn’t put it any other way. If you know, you know. I’m halfway through the game and I’m having a blast. This game isn’t for everyone though. It’s not 100% an open world game like Skyrim, Starfield, or Far Cry, but it does enough justice to make it enjoyable through and through. I’ve never went down a slide in a video game until I played AtomFall. I’ll share a little video of this exciting moment lol. All’n’ll id give this game a 7.5/10. Just a heads up, instead of mission you have to find leads to complete objectives in this game which offers multiple endings to the campaign. You will be overwhelmed by the amount of leads you find throughout the game. Play through as a sightseer first before you harden the difficulty.

This game is on the short side (~20 hours if you drag you feet) but it offers a nice change from the other post-apoc games. Quintessentially British, the game isn't true-open world, ,but it doesn't suffer because of it. The graphics are pretty good, nothing absolutely mind blowing, but well crafted. Combat can be brutal if you are playing the "recommended" difficulty setting (which is one step below the hardest setting), but again this is a nice change of pace from the usual shoot'em'ups. The simple Skill system allows you to cater to your preferred style of gameplay without bogging you down with deciding which skills to purchase. The "Leads" system (instead of Quests) offers a way to play that doesn't feel like you're being railroaded, and offers plenty of exploration opportunities. Multiple endings allows you quite a bit of freedom in choosing how you play out the endgame, and definitely offers replay value.

Delivery was great but the game is basically unplayable. Constantly dropping sound and occasionally deleting/losing saved games, poor product. Do not buy until they've done massive updates

The rush to force ownership of the xbox x leaves me cold. I've even considered switching to the PS5 for my new unit. That said, if you are hungry for a decent game for your xbox one, this is it. Do be aware that it is a resource dependent game so be careful what you shoot at. Attack with stealth as often as possible, which isn't possible often. More on that in a moment. Is it worth the bucks? Sure. Nice story line, interesting world to explore but there is no "fast travel" to areas you have explored. Walking and running get tedious. There are few options for getting ammo other than killing someone only to find you shot him 3 times to get one bullet. Most places rich in ammo are also rich in enemies you can't mount a surprise attack on. You can "find buried ammo" and two vendors sell it, but it doesn't re-spawn with enough product to ease the constant searching for ordinance. You are much more likely to find bullets one at a time than a box full and a box is likely to be 3 bullets. As noted above the "solution" is to play using stealth or attack with hand weapons. That is harder than it sounds, partially because the movement of characters is unpredictable. One minute you think a character is far off and can't see your attack on a comrade, the next minute that character appears half the distance away ready to attack you. This make attacking single enemies VERY hard. After restarting the game once near the end because I couldn't find enough resources for the boss mission, I set my own goals of wiping out soldiers in areas and decided not pursue the end fight. I'd read about all the endings they were depressing at best. The fact that the game does not re-spawn vital ammo and explosives takes a lot of the fun out of it. Very little is for sale which is a shame because crafting and selling "Pristine" weapons would add a fun aspect. Strangely it does re-spawn toilet paper. Yes, toilet paper. You can be sure you won't run out.

Highly entertaining game. I was able to complete everything in about 30 hours. It could've easily been a great game at 60-100 hours if they had included more content. Think of this as a short version of Fallout, if Fallout were British and not allergic to color. I highly recommend this game if you're looking for a great RPG without a long-term commitment.
