  • My 2nd one in 13 years
Color: Espresso Style: Contemporary
I bought one of these years ago and it’s done a fairly good job at keeping my BLUERAY and DVD movies organized in a neatly order. It does take a little getting use to how to put your movies on the rack without the movies tumbling off the rack. More movies you get stacked on the rack though the better they stay in place. The wooden bar that’s for pushing up against movies so they don’t tip over that rides on a metal rod. It’s not easily moved and sticks at times. You sometimes have to fight with it to get it to slide on the rod. You can try lubricant on the rod but that hasn’t helped much for me so far. If you have enough movies to fill up a row you don’t necessarily need to use this wooden adjustable bar against your movies. I usually just turn the bar to the back where it’s not resting on the movies at all. I don’t recommend taking out more then 1or 2 movies out of the rack at a time or the other movies on the rack may take a tumble to the ground. For a cheap rack to hold your movies you really can’t complain too much about this rack. Like I said a lot of it just getting use to how to put your movies on the rack without the movies falling off. Once you played around with it stacking your movies on the rack a little while you’ll get the hang of it. Just don’t get frustrated when you’re 10-15 movies fall off and you have to start over stacking your movies!😂 I have bought 2 of these now, so obviously I don’t feel their that bad of a rack for storing movies on without spending a lot of money on a better rack. Putting two racks side by side actually looks pretty good in my opinion. I’ll probably buy more down the line long as the racks are still available when I need another rack? With a little effort and other materials these racks could be modified to work better and made to sit on top of one another to make higher racks. I’m a retired woodworker so this isn’t something that’s very hard for me to do but probably more challenging for diy projects if you’re not experienced with making things out of wood? But the possibilities are there not the less! If you’re looking for a rack where you won’t have problems with movies falling off if you’re not careful, you’ll need to spend more money for a better rack! This is probably the bottom of the line rack that you can get! ... show more

  • Atlantic Element Media Storage Rack

Some reviewers said the unit would lean to the right. I can see how this would happen. The shelves fit into pockets cut in the uprights, if you don't get the shelf into the pocket correctly then the unit will lean. The other issue reported is it falls over. The feet are longer in the front than in the back, if installed backwards this would cause this problem. Also if on carpet, at the edge of the carpet there is a tack strip that holds the carpet up a little and does not settle like the carpet will. Over all I found the unit acceptable for the price. It holds a lot of DVD’s. I did have one issue with a box set, it seams that not all shelves are exactly the same height. The bottom shelf is higher than the others but not by much. ... show more

  • Pretty good DVD/game case
Color: Maple Style: Media Storage Rack
Recently I had tried to put all my DVDs in a huge DVD portfolio, and putting all my DVD cases in the attic. I ended up hating the setup and wanted to setup my DVDs on display again. My collection wouldn't fit on the one case I already had (part of the reason I had tried removing the cases), so I needed to get a new stand. Eventually I settled on this one because it looked most similar to the one I already had that I'd purchased long ago. The stand isn't too hard to put together. It takes some time, but it's not difficult, and the instructions were easy enough to follow. It holds as many DVDs as my larger case does, or just about, which is fantastic. If you need a DVD case, this one isn't bad. Unfortunately, there are a couple negatives. 1. For one thing, the little arms that go on the rods in the back that you can use to hold your DVDs in place if you don't have a full row... they do not always stay in place. It has 5 shelves, and 1 of them is really sturdy and holds DVDs, 1 is ok but not great, and the other 3 slide around so easily that they do not help hold DVDs in on incomplete rows. 2. There are little wooden pieces to go in the holes where the screws are to cover them up and fill the whole. At least half of them didn't fit properly. Some wouldn't go in, some would fall right out, half stayed put. Not a huge deal to me but it might matter to you. 3. Last but not least, this shelf is VERY compact. There is just enough room for a whole DVD case on each row from top to bottom. Unfortunately, while building mine, I must have turned one of the screws too tight because the stand is very slightly lop-sided. This also isn't a big deal to me except that it makes part of the middle row NOT tall enough for a DVD case anymore. If I can figure out the problematic screw(s), I might be able to loosen them and get use of that space back. For now, I'm put Blu-Ray cases there instead, but it's right in the middle of all my DVDs and isn't how I wanted it setup. If you just keep in mind you'll likely get what you pay for and aren't looking for anything showy, this may suit your needs. Just be mindful when you tighten up the screws to try to make sure the whole thing stays straight so you don't run into the problem I have. ... show more

Lots of reviews I see say it’s really unstable, if you have this problem you didn’t build it right this thing is perfectly fine. Yes it’s made from cheap materials, but it gets the job done and does a damn good job for 40 bucks…just tighten the screws.
