Refused to answer a single question about filing my claim/replacement process until I paid the $129 upfront. I have paid for 19 months for this “insurance”. After dropping my phone in water last month, I attempted to file a claim. I reached out to customer service with simple questions (if they had the phone in stock to replace it, estimated timeline, etc.) and was only sent instructions on how to pay the amount in full, claiming they could not answer a single question or proceed with chat until it was made. ALSO, I chose this plan because it advertised that a temporary phone would be provided before shipping damaged phone/while waiting on repair. Nope. Was told they have never done that and would not. I double checked on their website and on Amazon and which clearly stated they would. I am stuck having to buy a new phone out of pocket.

Cancelled phone so didnt need insurance. No cancel option to click on so called amazon. They said theyd cancel but still on orders page and no cinfirmation if refund ir cancel. Dont buy it!!!

They will fight the claim. I have spend days on the phone talking to people all over the planet in more accents that in the UN cafeteria. I have provided every photo they have asked for and more, and it's obvious they get paid to make you give up. Biggest annoyance is the "Optional" on the Serial number field. This doesn't have one, they can see it doesn't have one in the photos, but keep claiming they need one.

4 calls to asurion and amazon. They confirm plan is "terminated" - yet befuddled on why they cannot turn off the $7.99 every month. There's not even a phone to protect any longer- they took it. Now I get to call customer services over and over and over again to at least try to refund the charge they cannot stop. They'll get you your money with enough hassle, but they certainly will not make it easy. EDIT. one year later. Still being charged. they still "cant stop the monthly charge"

I filed a claim for a broken screen and they told me the only option is to pay them $138 to have the phone replaced. The phone works fine I just want a new screen. They are deceptive EASY CLAIMS PROCESS: File a claim anytime online or by phone. Most claims approved within minutes. If we can’t repair it, we’ll replace it or send you an Amazon e-gift card for the replacement cost. A service fee will apply. $39 to repair/reimburse, $69 to repair or $129 to replace your phone. I hope Amazon will help since they guided me to this policy when I purchased the phone through them.
