Bought a laptop and on a hunch bought the two year protection. After 4 months laptop needed work. Amazon refused to honor the standard year warranty (manufacturer said work thru Amazon) and basically cut me loose - reason? past my 30 day return period. Asurion stepped up, set up a claim same day and within days laptop in their capable hands. Back into my hands in just a few days and working like a dream. Detailed info on action performed.     • Will not honor warranty
Purchased a Dell Latitude 7400 renewed with added warranty through Asurion. This was a great little laptop for 4 months. Unfortunately we missed the 90 day Focus Camera return warranty and passed the Dell warranty. This laptop started running hot to the touch completely freezes up and if you shut the lid with out signing out it is very difficult to start up. Of course out of the four companies involved Focus Camera, Dell, Amazon and Asurion they each tell me its not their issue and to call someone else. I have spent countless hours on the phone and via email with all four to no avail. Learn from my mistakes don't "Save money" by buying Amazon renewed. Don't buy from Focus Camera whose laptop didn't last four months and DON'T buy from Asurion who don't honor their warranty and most importantly do your research on a laptop before buying. ... show more
