  • Comfortable and well made
Size: 10.5 Wide Color: Army Green
I got both these and a pair of WHITINs as I wanted one pair for walking around and the other to use when I’m rowing on my erg. These are my walking around shoes and I like them much better than the WHITINs. The material is just much higher quality than the WHITINs. Even the laces are nicer. They feel like they will hold up better over time. The color is nicer as well. The big thing for me though is these actually come in half sizes whereas the WHITINs did not. I’m a 10.5 and these fit perfectly. The WHITINs say their size 10 is the same EU size (44) but they fit much tighter. As they’re at the same price point, I’ll definitely be buying Asitvos from now on. ... show more

  • Simple, Comfortable, and Stylish
Size: 10.5 Wide Color: Black Oxford
I purchased these shoes for their simplicity, and they delivered exactly what I was hoping for. They arrived on time, with no damage, and had a clean, quality look and feel right out of the box. I was pleasantly surprised to find a pair of inserts included—unexpected, but definitely appreciated. These have quickly become my go-to shoes for quick trips and everyday wear. They’re very comfortable, and the fit is perfect. The style reminds me a lot of my Columbia Fairbanks shoes, which I also love. Overall, great value and highly recommended! ... show more

  • Surprisingly well made and comfortable
Size: 8 Wide Color: Light Grey
For the price point, they're really well made and comfortable. Event though it's the quality that really matters, it's impressive the company spends the extra effort in a very nice packaging, and even sends you an extra pair of shoelaces and a pair of good thick insoles. The insoles package has a printed high price of $29, which, I highly doubt would be it's market value--but it's still appreciated that the seller sends them as a bonus with the shoes. 'Zero drop' shoes are supposed to be good for people that have plantar fasciatis, which I have in one foot. However, there's also contradictory data in medical literature that explains that in some cases zero-drop shoes can worsen the condition. Since I have a set of custom made soles, those are the ones I normally use in these shoes. I think it does take a bit of time to get used to flat sneakers like these, but it's not that different than wearing flip-flops, so you can get used to these shoes. I don't wear them constantly, since I also like the thicker cushioning in traditional athletic footwear. But I notice how alternating with these is helpful for me. The construction of the shoe is similar to most brands (basically a mesh attached to rubber injected shaped soles), but the front 'box' area of the shoe (reminiscent of the Birkenstock shape) is wider and specifically shaped for the toes to 'breathe' and move freely, which, again, is recommended for plantar fasciatis. Durability wise, it's only been a couple of months-- so far, so good. Time will tell if they last a year or more . They are super flexible, as is expected in these type of so called 'barefoot shoes ' ... show more

  • My first barefoot sneaker. Get yourself a drink, I have some thoughts
Size: 10.5 Wide Color: Black Oxford
an old nickname of mine is Hobbit Feet. They're hairy, they're large. Shoes have not been my friend most of life. To add, I've also had some subpar podiatrists over the years. I had been working for a few months prior to buying these shoes (late december) on improving my foot stability. Lots of exercises, wearing toe spacers while doing so and generally around the house. My Brooks Adrenaline GTS toe box became more narrow from one generation to the next. The sneaker for me, operated more a seatbelt for my bad gait. Also hard to keep building on my foot progress when a shift at work was killing my feet in the Brooks. I bought these. 40 ish dollar commitment which pales to a pair of Brooks (120-160). Flat insoles were a no go. My arches stink a bit too much for that. The arch support insoles they send are a great transition insole. First time wearing em out I definitely felt anxious. Lots of ankle injuries and little foot injuries, and these thin ___ moccasins on my feet. OH CONTRAIRE. Legit felt like I had some control over my feet while walking. I had the week off from work these showed up so it was a nice time to wear them around my neighborhood and get a feel for them. My big toes were sore after my first few walkabouts in these - I have bunion, and this was the shoe's way of telling me I'm straightening you out. My first commute to work, standing on the subway without holding something is a feat that's much easier in shoes that barely separate you from the ground. So, these shoes have made very noticeable differences in my foot health. I've since ordered a couple more pairs. A month in however my pair is starting to rip. Let's be honest - I kinda knew this could happen with these sneakers. These are pretty cheaply made. Clear evidence they're glued not sewn together. Cheap plastic makes your feet stink. That's why I consider these a starter shoe for the general world of barefoot stuff. The second pair of these - I am now able to wear with the flat default insole. So, that's evidence of progress considering it was a struggle one month prior. I think the next pair will last a little longer with the natural insole and some improvement to my gait. Moreover, nothing a little shoe goo can't handle. If you're in my boat and have spent more than you care to admit on over cushioned wide fit sneakers, give these a try. 40 bucks is a cheap dice roll compared. I was nervous about giving these a go, but a little belief in the heart of the cards don't hurt. ... show more

  • Get ‘em.
Size: 7.5 Wide Color: Black Oxford
Taaadaa! These shoes are nothing short of amazing. The way they are boxed (with the extra insoles and laces) is a tremendous bonus. I got them in a 7 & 1/2 wide for my trip to England and I instantly knew they were going to be durable and comfortable. The toe box is wide enough to wear with athletic socks-but they don’t look clownish or like bowling shoes. They do run about a half an inch longer than expected-I could have gotten away with a size 7. Additionally they are easily a unisex style so anyone can utilize them. I have flat feet so I seek out shoes with as little arch support as possible, these have zero drop so your foot doesn’t experience pressure points. Yay! ... show more
