  • Light - cushioned - responsive
I had been cruising through several brands, started on Asics (Kayano), shifted to Brooks (Glycerin15-16 and Hyperion Tempo)), changed to New Balance (1080v9-10-12), bought Adidas (ultraboost 22) in between, Nike (Invincible 1 and Alphafly 1 for racing), tried Hoka (Bondi 8), and decided to go for the Novablast 4. The reason, I was using my New Balance for shorter runs (60-120 mins) and was solely relying on the Bondi for long runs. At the beginning I loved them, I felt they were like a loyal friend, I could use them on almost any surface, trail or rocky roads and still felt safe. But they started feeling heavy and began to hate them. About the Novablast 4 and although I have only used them twice, for two hour runs, I can say they feel great just out of the box. Upper: soft but they hold my feet. Sole: not a great grip on wet surfaces, have not slipped though. Laces: ok, nothing amazing just ok Cushion: Asics Novablast 4 feel cushioned and soft AND reactive. I was afraid of buying a pair of shoes that felt just too squishy (nimbus), because although I am not an absolutely fast runner, I sometimes run intervals. Novablast feel just right for that: light, cushioned and responsive. My two runs have been on hilly paved roads, and somehow they make me feel my hip feel better (I have an injury), more comfy and protected. The weight feels just right, not too heavy (as with the Bondi I feel running on bricks) and not as light as the Hyperion Tempo, but the cushion and reaction feels just great for my needs. After running, my feet feel perfectly good, not sore at all, no signs of affected calluses. I will update as soon as I finish my long run on the weekend, that will be approximately 3hrs. Love the color, although it is definitely NOT red, for me that’s more of a neon orange. Update after long hilly interval run: 30kms/ 19mi (440mts + ascent) Shoes feel well during and after a long run. It might be better a bit more cushioned sole for after km 26/ mi 16, but if it’s your only shoe, it will take you through it all and they’re good even for intervals. Feet feel happy after long run, legs, hips and soul as well. I just ordered the Metaspeed Sky Paris for racing my next marathon. Will surely tell how it goes and I hope they’re amazing. ... show more

  • Amazing cushion for my surgery leg
I normally wear a size 9 but I had to size up to 9.5. At least for me they run small. I have been running in the nimbus for over 10 years and with the new model I had to choose a different shoe. The new nimbus styles just wrecked the way my legs land for some reason and caused pain in my knees. I have done prime before you buy for a little over 3 weeks now trying to find the perfect shoe for my long distance runs. I’m missing my fibula bone in my left leg so stability and cushion is a need for me when I choose a shoe. These shoes are amazing! They propel me forward and they make my surgery leg feel like it hardly is hitting the ground! These will replace the nimbus shoes for me in the future! They are also cheaper than the nimbus which is a big bonus! I’m so glad. I finally found a shoe that makes me enjoy running again. I really feel like these shoes work with my body instead of against it when I run. They also are super cute! I can’t wait to try these out for my half marathon in a few weeks! ... show more

  • Highly recommend
Size: 8.5 Color: Nature Bathing/Pearl Pink
Comfortable for my 30-45 minute, low impact walks and running errands. I have had plantar facitis in the past so know that I need good arch support and ASICS always provide it. I am an 8 but usually buy 8.5 for my athletic shoes.

  • I need to weat them in some more.
Size: 8 Color: White/Soothing Sea
So far these are pretty good. I am currently preferring my nike shoes to run in but I think I need to keep giving these a try to wear them in a little more. Still, they have good cushion. They are cute. They are comfy. A good find. And they were on sale, which is my fav! I'll tru to update once I've tun in them some more. ... show more

  • Hold up better than Hokas
I'm a runner and also a nurse, and I usually wear the same brand shoes for both. I had tried out Hokas and noticed it felt like the padding under my foot was wearing out a lot faster than other shoes. I looked it up on the interwebs and found other runners saying the same thing. I decided to try these after reading an article about good running shoes for mid to high arches. WOW. My running time the first run improved by over a minute and a half per mile, and my times since then have been 45 seconds to a min faster per mile consistently (I'm a slow runner and some of this may have been training gains but I think the shoes made a big difference). I've had these now for months and they aren't wearing thin like my Hokas, they still feel supportive through runs and also long shifts at the hospital. ... show more

  • Very lightweight shoes
Size: 7 Color: Black/Blue Expanse
As a power walker (can't run anymore because of knee issues) I still need good running shoes that have good arch support (I have high arches). These have the support I need. Have only worn them once so far. Did 4 1/2 miles and had no problems. My only negative is that I think the tongue needs more padding. There is some, but my Hokas have a better padding. ... show more
