I have bought ASICS for years, for continued mobility and activity with arthritic ankles and feet. Gel-Venture 7, 8, & 9, Gel-Kahana 8 and any new year models of these are my go to. I have had Up to 8 different pairs through the years. Finally retiring them when I wear the bottom treads too smooth to grip. Currently have 4 pairs that I have had about 4 years. This is my 5th current. I regularly rotate which pair I use, walking 1 to 2 miles daily. I wear size 7.5 consistently, with no difference in fit in these models over the years. I do believe the toe box is large enough for comfort. I have bought ASICS from Amazon,and various sports chain store, with the same consistent fit. Some other brands’ New Balance … Nike, etc… the 7.5 fit well, but press on my big toenail. A larger size in these other brands is not an option. These brands shoes size 8 are too long, and then I regularly catch the front of the shoe and pitch forward. NOT fun on a treadmill or asphalt !! These are great brands, just not a good fit for me. The cushioning in ASICS seems normal, not overly spongy, if I wanted more cushion, would use a Dr. Scholl’s sport insert. I like the stabilization, which seems to curve up the sides from the foot bed. The foot bed is not flat. It helps me avoid turning my ankle, as well as allowing me to keep walking. Measurement, my foot is just under 9 ¼ inches and wide. I like toe room, but not overly long shoe. ... show more

I keep buying this brand because I can depend on them consistently fitting just like the last pair. I always buy a half size up from other types of shoes and they fit great. I tried a different brand because of the bright colors and they felt too shallow in my heel. I have high arches/high instep and ASICS just work! ... show more

I have been having foot pain specifically in the heels. I did a lot of research before deciding on a shoe. These have helped my pain tremendously. I plan to wear them to Disney next month. I love the variety in color choices as well.
